Got my happy face on  :)  ......    just read someone who filed in March 2017 just received RFE notification from CSC!  While its not great news for them (it's an easy fix, however) it's fabulous news that CSC is working on files with a more current date!

Just a lil more time!

I might have jumped the gun in reporting they were from CSC though.  I may have got 2 people mixed up.  But I did read in the April 2017 thread there were approvals also, so it's happening folks..... :)  I'm remaining optimistic things are on a roll.  Just a lil mo time!

Not sure if that means its been sent to our local office or what but I didn't get anything in the mail yet.

Just found the other website to check status and see that in Feb it says (same status is for Feb 25th also):

February 26, 2018

We received your case

You do not need to do anything at this time

We will begin processing your case and will review it to make sure you have submitted all of the required information and documents. We will let you know if we need anything else from you.

If you do not receive your notice by March 28, 2018, send us a case inquiry and select that you did not receive your notice by mail.

USCIS is/was changing their IT system around and there is much speculation that they also transferred a wack-load of files to local offices to help with the backlog. Some say that our files are not necessarily at the local office (eg field office close to your) but that this transfer notice merely states it left some holding station and is now physically at VSC or CSC ready to be assigned to someones desk.  No one really knows for sure what is going on but it looks like approvals, with and without interviews, are on the rise.  Is the process of approval any faster since this transfer????  The only way to tell is to follow several ROC threads.  Best bet is to hang in there, meanwhile get  your stuff ready for the N-400.

me too...  Since signing up at https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/, I got an email  about 2 days ago saying " We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time. We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on February 26, 2018."

I still don't have anything that says it has been moved to the local office or such.

And of course still waiting for the biometric appointment letter so i can go and do my fingerprints. Then however long they want to take to review my case , do ROC and (hopefully) grant me the 'full' GC , I am ok with that. I just want to not have to worry if I somehow missed that fingerprint appointment!

Please let me know....

Hello guys! I sent an inquiry regarding the “if you do not receive your notice by march 28,2018, please do a case inquiry blah blah”

And I got this on my e-mail:

“The status of this service request is:

On 03/30/2018, you or your representative contacted USCIS concerning your I-751 / CRI89 to notify us that you have not received your biometrics appointment notice. Below is a summary of what we found and how the issue has been or may be resolved.

Thank you for your inquiry regarding an appointment to have your biometric images processed at an Application Support Center (ASC). We are unfortunately experiencing a longer processing period than what is reflected on your Form I-751 Receipt Notice.  Be advised that USCIS may be able to reuse the previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics for some applicants and have their biometrics copied into our systems.  In addition, USCIS can run the same security checks and use the same biometric data as in the past and may not need to schedule an additional biometrics appointment.  However, if a biometric appointment is necessary, USCIS will schedule your appointment electronically and mail the appointment notice to your current mailing address. The biometrics fee will not be refunded.”

But I already did my biometrics last August 2017. The message is the case status regarding that my I-751 receipt was received at my local office. So I did an inquiry since it says there that if you do not received your noting by March 28,2018.

This is weird..

I'm just worried maybe they didn't receive my biometrics. But I have the receipt with me.

And curious about why the reply is like that from USCIS if I already did my biometrics. :(

quick one,

are you all going to apply for the citizenship (N 400) right on July time frame (90 day window). or rather wait until getting the greencard back.

I guess I am not clear yet on the timing, will the I 751 get bundled with the N 400 now?

thanks :)

Congratulations!! So did you find out if your case has been rrally transferred to your local office or  not?

To tell you the truth, our online status still states that our case has moved to another office.  We received approval letter on March 5 and Resident Card yesterday in the mail.  The uscis.gov website is definitely not giving updated information.  Set up an account at the other site: myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov .  That site has tracked us well, although it has posted misinformation also saying that we were denied on an appeal (we were never denied and never appealed anything) and also said it corrected birth dates and name changes; all of it not true.  So, just be careful of what is seen online.  And remember, if you are truly a married couple, you will be approve.  It's difficult to deny an i-751 case without evidence to the contrary.  Everyone will be approved.
