 Estimated wait time is 8 months!!! for interview ??? on the top of this page it shows estimated case completion time 9 moths. Is it going to take 8 months to schedule interview??

I had the same issue too. My priority date is one day earlier than received date. I filed exactly on the first day of eligibility. I used USCIS online calculator and even verified the date with N-400

that's odd. I am applying within 90 days, I answered the questions and was able to proceed. Paid the fee and was issued a case number,

These "estimates" don't actually seem to mean very much. Depending on your office, it may be that you get through significantly faster than that. (Or not; but it might happen!).

It can. It probably won't, but it can. 

 

Mine still says 3 months even though I have my oath ceremony on Dec 20.

I'm planning to file my n400 online but i looked at the paper form to have an idea of the questions on it and it looks like questions around residency and employment are targeted towards people that are filing after 5 years of residency as a LPR. I'm filing after 3 years as a spouse of a USC, and I moved here 3 years ago ( not traveled since i moved here). Do I need to fill in up to 5 years of my address and employment details 2 years of which will be before my Green Card or just the 3 years from the date that i became a LPR ( Green card holder)? Thanks

Some on here will say just 3 years but in my opinion if you’re filing by paper and they ask for 5 you should just do 5.

 

That said, If you file online it will not allow you to continue to the next page until you’ve filled it in sufficiently, so if it will let you go to the next question with only three years of history, then you’re good.

Thanks for your prompt response @IPv6Freely. What are the required document that I need to submit with my online application ( it looks like I only need to submit a copy of my GC and Marriage certificate from what I saw on the instruction form and the remaining are for me to to take to the interview)?

If it’s the 3 year, you’ll need to upload things like tax returns etc. The application will tell you.

We just submitted our N-400 online. Anyone else not able to upload PDF files (even though it says you can)? Had to convert all our documents into JPGs.

Removal of Conditions:

2016-09-27: I-751 removal of conditions petition sent (with fee waiver request)

2016-09-30: I-751 petition delivered to California Service Center

2016-11-01: Informed in USCIS customer service call that they had no record of receiving our petition, but that it might still be languishing somewhere in fee waiver limbo

2016-11-01: Filed I-751 again, this time with payment check instead of fee waiver request (sent Priority Express)

2016-11-03: Date on I-797 Notice of Action (received 11/7)

2016-11-09: USCIS mailed out denial of our original fee waiver request, with denial letter dated 2016-11-02

2016-11-19: Biometrics appointment notice issued, for 2016-12-07 appointment

2016-11-26: Second biometrics appointment notice issue, for 2016-12-16 appointment (see this thread)

2016-12-07: Biometrics appointment. Allowed to complete biometrics despite mix-up on their end (again see this thread), but some people had to come back for second appointment date.

2018-05-01: Notice that our case was transferred to National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit, MO

2018-06-11: Approved after N-400 interview in Portland, OR (they seemed to be waiting for that before bothering with it)

 

Citizenship:

2017-12-11: N-400 Application for Naturalization submitted online while still waiting to hear back on I-751, received same day

2017-12-15: Biometrics notice

2018-01-04: Biometrics completed, on appointment date (Portland, OR)

2018-02-28: Interview scheduled for April 12 in Portland, OR

2018-03-01 (approximate): We sent in a letter requesting that the interview be rescheduled to after June 8, due to combination of work and family travel plans

2018-03-07: Notice that our April 12 interviewed had been "canceled" (pending rescheduling, but the letter didn't actually say that; officer at InfoPass later explained that interviews aren't scheduled until five or six weeks before the interview date, so they were waiting until closer to our requested rescheduling window)

2018-05-03: New interview scheduled for June 11.

2018-06-11: Citizenship interview - approved!

Yes this entire thread is about people filing online. Yes it is faster because there’s no overhead associated with mailing paperwork and transferring your application between offices etc. 

 

There is no reason to not file online if you are eligible.
