Confused about the forms needed

Hello,

 

I'm married to an American citizen and living in the US currently, what are the forms I need to fill out? Is there a list somewhere that can help me with this process? All I know is i-130 and i-485, I know of other forms but I'm honestly not 100% sure.

i-130A is missing from the visa journey page, which is confusing me.

i-130 and i-751 when removing conditions no need for i-485 thats only for the k1 visa

Huh, I'm more confused now, i'm in the US right now but don't have PR, i need to adjust my status, what do you mean when you say no need for i-485?

Seth and Quynh, everything i'm reading on the internet says if i dont have a green card, i need to apply using the i-485. I currently don't have a PR or anything despite being inside the US. The application you speak of says the person needs to have a GC.

 

Anyone else? I really need help with this. I do like this page:

i-130A is missing from the visa journey page, which is confusing me.

I would look at both links, but the USCIS site is more up-to-date.  Since you do not have your GC yet, you have to file the I485 as well as the I130 with their accompanying forms which appears to also include the I130A.

Yea that makes more sense, since the i-130A is there now, am I still required to do G-325a?

You do not fill out i-130A you fill out I-130 the I-130A is for supplemental information

Incorrect. All spouses must complete an I-130A. Spouses who are overseas do not have to sign it but all spouses must complete this form. 

 

OP, in what capacity are you "living in the USA"? With what visa did you arrive? Or did you arrive illegally? The answers to these questions will help us give the information you need regarding your next steps. I have already moved your thread to the "adjustment of status" section as I am assuming you entered legally so you will be eligible to file an adjustment of status based on your marriage to a USC and won't need to return to your home country and apply for a visa.

aweee nevermind i see that the g-325a form was replaced with the I-130A I used the g-325A Form Last year
