What's interesting is if the memos that Comey had leaked via 3rd party to NYT was privileged, he's screwed.

Apparently, there were bars promising free drinks for every time President Trump tweeted during the testimony.  I believe everyone had to pay for their drinks today.

Should have went to the bar myself and had a few, but no I decided to stay home and watch the hearings. I avoided the news just in case of a spoiler.

 

Comey came across well until he said he had a buddy leak info about his memo's. Democrat senators were on a fishing trip and sounded lame. NY Times outted for fake news. Nothing came out that wasn't already in the public domain.

 

After all the hype I would say Trump is smiling tonight. .

He is all but smiling. Comey's testimony was damaging to the so-called president. Comey pretty much called him a liar.

 

You should have watched it the entire thing. It was interesting.

I watched all the senators ask their questions but didn't really find any of Comey's testimony damaging. Compared to what was expected and all the hype I reckon it was an easy ride for Trump.

What we learned: the President does not understand how government works, behaves inappropriately and on impulse, cannot stop lying, has no respect for the folks who work as dedicated public servants, will do anything to save his own skin, cannot be trusted and probably tried to obstruct the course of the law OR in other words : nothing we didn't know before.

The spin is working both sides right now.  Of course the Left is proclaiming it a bombshell against Trump, and the Right is saying it was all hype with no substance.  Yes, Comey called Trump a liar, but with his credibility quite questionable and the fact that he leaked potentially privileged information, it didn't make him look too good either.  The one big item I took from it is that he confirmed that he did indeed tell Trump three times he wasn't personally under investigation, and he all but put the entire obstruction question to bed.

So now Comey is a dedicated public servant.  Back in October the Left want to string him up for his political actions that may have contributed to Hillary losing.  The pendulum swings back and forth.

It was not an easy ride for him. In this country it's never good to be on the business end of a charge of obstruction of justice, and that is very much what the testimony accounts to.

kasowitz seems to be threatening a lawsuit against Comey (hahaha), however this is only a threat as a lawsuit would force trump to give a sworn deposition...also sloppy work from the street fighter...the NYT never quoted memos prior to trump's tweets5/12, first story 5/16. Many high quality white shoe lawyers passed on chance to rep trump.
