I am still showing as my biometric appointment being scheduled. Today is 1 month before my 3 year Green Card was originally issued.

My bad, this upcoming Tuesday is 1 month before my Green card was issued. Hopefully I will be put to being in line soon....

I also noticed that there are 2 people on here in Charleston, SC that are set for interviews. On USCIS it is showing they are processing applicants from 18 November in Charleston, SC. Am I being too optimistic in thinking that maybe they are further ahead then we are led to believe?

You know I realize not all of us started with K-1 visas, but for us, we did.  I looked back at some of the questions in the K-1 forum for those that are filing right now and I think to myself about everything that we have gone through.  We do not have "normal" relationships and go through so much.  Our K-1 process was a bit long, but relatively easy.  When I came onto VJ, there was no information regarding the Consulate in Kuwait or the process so I had no real help sorting it out.  I had to ask the Admin to add Kuwait to the list so I could post the information for others!  Luckily Kuwait is very responsive to email and phone calls, etc so it was easy.  The AOS was smooth.  However, we made a huge mistake for the ROC.  We sold our house and moved to California.  We thought it would be better to file for the ROC after we moved so we didn't have to change addresses, etc.  Big mistake.  The move hurt financially (amongst other things) and we didn't have the funds to pay for the ROC.  We ended up filing a day late!  Thankfully they accepted our package, but for the first time we got an RFE.  Basically, what we submitted could appear as if one of us moved without the other.  They wanted more proof that we moved together, etc.  I sent what we had.  Now we are beyond normal processing time and had to get an extension stamp.  Then we get called in for an interview.  They asked some basic questions and other stuff.  We were approved.  At this time we could've applied for citizenship, but again funds were tight so that is why we didn't file until this year when we could have done it last year.  I'm just glad to be at this point finally and can't wait for it be done.  Its been a hard and long road.

What's your story?

Hi guys:

Already asked question about my parking ticket 2012..(((citation)))....

I went to police station to get police report of my parking citation ticket coz I read somewhere else at the interview  the IO asked for police report even though the applicant brought receipt of ticket, anyways   they gave me a form to put my social security number, first last name, and signature.

they told me no record found...and stamped this paper with two stamps:

1- says" NO RECORD FOUND ,RECORD BUREAU"

2-"certified to be true copy of the original.By signature , sheriff office"

The problem in the beginning of this form this sentence ((( I give ـــــــــــــــــــblankـــــــــــــ  permission to seek a copy of my arrest record from the sheriff`s office . I do hereby release the sheriff `s office and all individuals connected therewith from all liability.

It was cited parking ticket not arrest....I`m worrying a lot of new hired IO , always new hired people without experience and can deny your application even if you just sneeze....

Yeah it just got me thinking about the whole journey reading the forums again. Yeah I don't think anybody is exempt from the actual interview at this stage.  I didn't mind the interview for the ROC. It just added time to the process you know.
