Well it's just bugging me because his quote (at least that part) was directly referencing the ACA. It's frustrating because I feel at times while republicans are completely stonewalled tone deaf on this issue, democrats also follow suit in not acknowledging there is a really big problem with premiums right now and how to fix it. This is a now problem, not a wait until the next election for the republicans to get trashed by angry voters because they killed healthcare and then think about it a while and fight some more and then repeat the process all over again kind of thing. It's a we need real workable solutions issue and fast kind of thing.

i totally agree with you.

i follow robert reich and read most of his posts so i feel like i know he's not a hillary/establishment 'the american people will never buy socialized anything' sort of democrat.

the fact remains that no matter the intentions of democrats and the aca moving forward, they don't have the power to move fast to implement workable solutions.

politicians are tone deaf on the issue, but not really all that much, considering they exempt themselves from healthcare nightmare americans are currently dealing with. i certainly don't think there's a single democrat that should feel like they're ahead of the game and going to win at some point off in the future simply because the gop is a soulless bunch of privileged morons. i just don't know what any democrat can do, outside of digging their heels in deep and refusing to accept anything less than single payer/universal care.

I think the democrats should sign off on anything Trump puts together in terms of healthcare. The truth of the matter is that the most negatively affected demographic with the new death panels will be the very base who voted for him. In the end it doesn't really matter. The rich don't need it, and the rest of us can take care of ourselves. I think it's time the base had a taste of making America great again.

this will affect way more than trump's base. that's the thing about healthcare in this country, very few are in a position to take care of themselves.

Basic of Insurance is that everybody pays a premium commensurate with the risk they contribute to the pool.

If you undercharge some then they will be very happy, people over charged less so.

How come when you quote someone it doesn't show who's post you're quoting? Kinda dumb, isn't it?

I think its awesome..you have to read, comprehend and analyze the content instead of running off at the mouth with a rebuttal because the folks don't happen to roll around in your muddy ditch.

I agree, but the disappointment alone will hurt twice as badly on those who voted for him with hopes he'd make things better.

My wife still flips out when we receive any kind of medical bill in the mail. She always says "I've never had to worry if I could afford to go to the Dr's, America is nuts"!

I do the same. Signed the HIPAA release, husband has to deal with those bills, wrong coding and what not.  [I can't complain too much though as we have great insurance paid for by his employers].  I would not mind paying into a single payer system.

I noticed that recent development too. I was wondering if it was just me because I've been having some other issues with my laptop, but I guess that's not one of them.

The same "death panels' provisions that according to the MDRs existed in Obamacare will continue to exist with Drumpfcare, except that they will now include far more people, as millions will have their coverage dropped. So, you can say that the death panels will become more powerful.

There is noting like winning.

OCare is so affordable.
