Thanks!  Is that done by clicking the top left tab for "Choice of Address & Agent"?  If so, it won't let me click on that either.  The arrow turns into a cursor when I hover over the words to click the link.  Also, do I fill that out if I already submitted information about my lawyer?

If you used a lawyer, consult with your lawyer to ensure you are both on the same page. I believe you may still need to officially designate them as your legal representative in this process though they may have already taken action on your behalf. Call them and discuss status and next steps.

If you don't have a lawyer, I would suggest try again tomorrow. If aos fee is available, just pay that first and complete the ds 261 when available.

Thanks ajmac for completing the questionnaire. I see your update on the spreadsheet. :)

And congrats on getting a CC in just 5 weeks!!! That's incredible.. but we'll see when your son gets his CC.

Can you update the questionnaire describing what needs to corrected on your I-864.This way others won't make the same mistake.  Also, explain in your notes/comments that you're still waiting for your son's CC.

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

Thank you,

Thank you for sharing. It looks like NVC is now no longer delaying cases due to i864 errors. I hope this is the case for all of us. Would be fantastic.. relieves some stress.

I have added this new way to know CC to first Post.

I think this may only be applicable to IR/CR1 visas? I have had this AT NVC status since date of receipt by NVC up to now. 9 weeks later, same status. I also don't have the AOS tab, but still not CC.

Case by case basis.  Depends on the rep reviewing the case although some of these delays including interview delays due to a "wet signature" required and embassy delays during adjudication were highlighted in the recent Q&A session with the American Immigration Lawyers Association.

Guess their errors are being spotlighted so hopefully some of the changes they implemented will streamline the process a bit!

Thanks!  Is that done by clicking the top left tab for "Choice of Address & Agent"?  If so, it won't let me click on that either.  The arrow turns into a cursor when I hover over the words to click the link.  Also, do I fill that out if I already submitted information about my lawyer?

Invoice number does not generate based on completion of ds261.

Both were available one day after my case number was assigned; aos fee was available even before ds 261 was completed.

@ECBZ Sorry, I guess @JessieABC is right. We did not have a lawyer and were told that post filing in DS261 our Invoice Numbers for fee payments would be available. Thanks @JessieABC for letting know the correct procedure.

It is through experience that we get to the right procedure and glad to know that this forum is platform to share experiences! :)

Do you have an idea on how long will nvc schedule for an interview.my ceac status still shows review in process.didn't change to "at nvc" when my case was completed

Hi ajmac.

Honestly I'm not quite sure, but I've understood that it's really up to the embassies and their availability. @Tanish got his interview date 7 days after his CC...

@Ingenuus  @Elguero5 @claudia88031

Can you let us know when you received your interview date? I added this option recently to the questionnaire. Would greatly appreciate it if you can update your questionnaire with that info.

@Ayo @Touly20 @sam @mmadd636 @Hubzubird @irma24 @alohasabaidee @Returnee @ricvtr22 @Gege6

Maybe some of you have already received your interview date? If so, can you please update your questionnaire with that info?

Here are instructions on how to edit/save the questionnaire

Thank you and everyone for your contribution. And good luck. :)

I do not have the exact details, but some members got their Interview schedules the next day of their CC. It actually depends on when your Embassy/Consulate provides NVC with the available dates, how many slots are available with that Embassy/Consulate and how many cases before you are still waiting for interview schedules.

Also there does seem to be a pattern as to what interview date you get. My best guess would be, if you have same CC date, they schedule Interview dates based on PD (Priority Date, which assigned by USCIS). @reuben44 had the same CC date as ours, were scheduled the same day as ours, but their Interview date is 06/30 and ours is 06/13 (of course, we both have same consulate).

It actually depends on when your Embassy/Consulate provides NVC with the available dates, how many slots are available with that Embassy/Consulate and how many cases before you are still waiting for interview schedules. I analyzed last few Interview date updates for IR1/CR1 on "India" portal, and deduced that it is taking around 9-12 days for NVC to schedule interview date (we were a bit lucky that ours was scheduled in just 7 days). I also deduced that recently, if the CC is within 1 - 15/16 of the month, you usually get your interview the following month. I encourage everyone to analyze their respective country's forums and go over the "Timelines" of recent Interview dates; this will give you general idea about how long it usually takes. I also encourage everyone reading this to keep their timelines updated; it helps others immensely. It also keeps the predictions accurate as it can be, given the number of VJ members. I had a hard time getting general idea, because 60-70% of the timelines were not at all accurately updated. Many of the members who were already approved did not even have timelines. VJ helps you a lot for your issues, you should also payback by taking a little time and keeping your profile updated. (Sorry for the long rant. It has been building up inside me because so many people do not update their timelines)

Hi everyone!  My documents were received by NVC on April 11, but I have yet to send the AOS package to NVC.

On the cover page checklist thing from NVC, it says we need evidence of income.  If we submit tax returns, W2, and tax transcripts is this enough, or do I need my sponsor to also submit pay slips or something?

Thanks!
