Awesome ok thats good.

Noob question how do you know which NVC it's at? I just assumed Dallas since we live closest to Dallas right and would interview there?

Update, got her EAD on Friday, first day of her job is next Monday! She has her SS Card from before so not really waiting on that mail since she has one and they confirmed it would stay the same. We are just gonna call for a new card/visit today though as well as get license stuff done.

The USCIS office where your interview would occur would most probably be the same place where you did your bio-metrics unless it was a stand alone ASC which i haven't seen much... Your interview appointment letter will have the date time and exact address at which it takes place and will most probably give you enough time to go check out the place before the interview which i suggest you do to find parking spaces and calculate time needed to walk from parking to the office, at least that's what i would do lol, I'm a bit extreme when it comes to things like that...

Congrats on the EAD... hope you get through the rest of the process fast!!!

Good day everyone, i've been reading all the posts and updates regarding the aos. i originally sent my application April 4th, but was rejected due to wrong I-485 form. resent our package on may 3rd, and was received may 4th. but didn't get a text or email until may 22nd. I did my biometrics on June 16th at Oakland, CA, and as of June 21, my status update was "ready to be scheduled for an interview", but until now still haven't received any updates on the the interview. even my EAD was last updated May 4th, case received. Is this normal? i'm starting to worry since i see other people getting the EAD fast and interviews scheduled. thanks everyone

Sadly it's totally normal and you shouldn't worry at all, its always a long wait and for most people it even takes longer to show the "ready to be scheduled for interview" update so i think you are better off than some of the people on here... like someone else mentioned you can file an SR if its been 75 days since you filed for EAD... Best of luck...

thank you, this waiting process is kinda stressful.

It is the worst part of the process including the tons of paperwork you have to go through lol... the only thing that gets you through it is the fact that there is definitely light at the end of the long tunnel...

It really depends on which field office you have, if you are in a small field office like mine(Buffalo, NY) then you will almost certainly be scheduled for interview before you get your EAD but if you are at a busier or larger office like Minneapolis, MN then i guess you will definitely get your EAD before your interview as it could take up to 9 months to schedule an interview at those offices... Don't worry about it too much and try to find other avenues to prove your bonafide relationship... health and auto insurance or even electricity and heat or cable bills are an easier way...

Does an RFE on our I-485 mean that our EAD application is currently paused as well?

@sarahandyunus, just like @EMBELL_17 said and as far as I can tell from what people have posted on this forum, RFE does seem to pause your EAD as well but I have also seen many people get there EADs within normal processing time after having an RFE and sending it in so it's kind of hard to guess on that front, your experience might vary widely from someone else's on this matter... Did you already send in the required evidence after they sent you the RFE?

I submitted our case inquiry for EAD going beyond 75 days without update last Wednesday.  The automated reply said to expect a response by August 10.  Seems like they were faster about replying to email inquiries during the K1 process, haha.

Still no updates here, and no update on the inquiry about having no updates.

Just wanted to provide you all with an update 😜

Patience is key, also a virtue.  Humor too!  Hang in there folks!

Citizenship process complete!  First a J1 work/travel Visa visitor from Philippines to Texas where we met each other, then back to Philippines.  Ultimately, immigrated here via a K1 Marriage-based petition in 2016, AOS started in 2017, completed in 2018, ROC started/completed in 2020, N-400/Citzenship granted in 2022 - timeline link below:

Our case changed to 'ready to be scheduled for interview' as of today. So, must be that they're getting around to that much earlier than EADs. Interview date is in the mail and in its way to us!

So glad to know the cases are moving along. Was starting to lose hope and wonder if they were far enough behind to delay the process by a few more months.

did they notify you that they have scheduled the interview and have sent out mail? We have been waiting on the physical "ready to be scheduled for an interview" letter, and we are moving saturday, so I keep stalling changing the address until we have that in our hands. But i'm not sure if they send a physical notification of that or not....

There is no mail for that status change. You'll only get mail when the date for your interview is finally scheduled and that can take several months depending on your field offices workload and backlog
