Has Hawaii moved?

Global warming presumably.

I'm not sure about Hawaii but I know the Galapagos islands move about 2 inches a year.

And forget the specifics but GPS in Australia is going to be significantly off soon, to the point of navigating people into rivers etc...

As for this topic. Unfortunately i think Sessions understands the nuance of what he said a little better than some people here. I'm sure he knows he meant it as a jab at the judge.

Sounds like a navigational hazard.

Yeah, I can imagine in 100 years landing a plane there will be very different than it is today or than it was 100 years ago.

I believe Trump used so called in a comment about a judge.

Of course, I agree 100% Mr Sessions knew exactly what he was doing. In the same way that some members repeatedly use the words "so-called president" know what they are doing, which I believe to be disrespectful.

The country is never going to settle until the Presidency is accepted by all.

How, pray tell, does anyone give respect to Donald Trump? His 'so-called judge' comment was inexcusable. Donald Trump is the epitome of someone who has zero respect for anyone else, so what exactly are others supposed to respect?

This not recognizing that Donald Trump, perhaps with a little help, won the election. This is the reality of how his disrespect for virtually everyone else plays out to the sixty six percent and growing percentage of Americans that feel Trump is doing a very poor job.

Non Trump supporters were never going to accept or respect him no matter how good a president he is or will be. I don't believe I have ever seen anything like the lack of respect that the democrats showed for his swearing in ceremony. The pictures that went out across the world of riots with people dressed in black with their faces covered while they trashed Washington was disgusting. I cant remember too many democrats condemning it, they more or less blamed it all on Trump. If Clinton had won would republicans have rioted?

America is changing and not in a nice way, normally after an election the people get behind their president. Now you have people refusing to stand for the national anthem, people burning the flag. Those that show no respect for the country can't blame it on President Trump. The inability of the Democratic Party to put someone on the ballot to beat Trump is unbelievable. They seem to have nothing to offer going forward other than to disrupt. President Trump may not be the best man for the job but for certain Hilary Clinton was not the best woman.

At this point I believe the US is suffering from the two party system, it's seems more confrontational than usual and doesn't bode well for the future, America needs a more unifying third option.

Growing up and looking at the US on the tv I was always in awe of the pride the people had for their country and now I am on the path to fulfil a dream of living there one day. It saddens me that some show so little respect for their country and all they do is blame it on Trump. Something is badly wrong when the flag is taken down because someone complains that they feel threatened by it flying.

Every US president for the future will have their orders challenged before a judge who leans towards the opposing side. It's a dangerous president that is being set for the future.

Sorry my reply is more of a frustrated ramble.

I agree with you that we are suffering from our "two party system". Over the past decade we have become more and more segregated into two camps. Like the election of Supreme Court Justices. Ginsburg commented on how many Republicans voted for her. Following her the voting lines became wider and wider. Then the Republicans flat out refused to even discuss a Democratic candidate. Then the democrats refused to vote for the Republican one.

I'd also say that the "obstructionism" did not just start with Trump being elected. Obama had to deal with a lot of obstruction just plainly because he was Obama and people's goals were to stop him from doing anything. Even Bush had to deal with it. It has just continued to get progressively worse.

However, I will just say that while I can't speak for everyone at least for me the reason I don't respect Trump has nothing to do with whether he ends up being a good president or not. I don't respect him because I find him reprehensible. The way he ran his campaign I find repugnant. He can't run a campaign like that and just expect people to forget. I accept him as my President he will never have my respect. President or not I think he is a really bad person deep down.

Mr Sessions just hasn't learned the lingo, now if he had said some judge from a "so-called" island state in the Pacific somehow it would have been more acceptable, kinda like the over used term "so-called" President of the USA.

Just using "so-called" allows one to be in denial, surely we can forgive Mr Sessions for his blooper :jest:

Please join the rest of the country and communicate your frustration to the WH, so that the so-called president can stop being in denial about 1/3 of the federal powers of the country that are neither more nor less important than he is.

Lies from the scientific community and MSM, just like climate change. Lies. LOL

Well at least with the galapagos I know it's not global warming as much as it is the tectonic plates moving east that moves them. It's actually quite interesting because once they move far enough away from their volcanic hotspot they completely change. Different plants grow that wouldn't grow before etc. That's why the older islands look nothing like the new ones...new ones keep getting created and they all keep moving east.

--not to say climate change isn't real, just thought it was interesting lol
