I sent a letter to the address: NVCInquiry@state.gov         Waiting for an answer. Text of the letter: 

Dear NVC officer, 
Thank you for taking the time to read this letter. 
 

I very ask you to give me the information about a status of a case 000000000
We  are so waiting for something new!   5,5 months…

We are:   aaaa aaaaa aaaaa, 1977-01-12.  aaaa aaaaaaa, 1979-07-19

hope for your answer.

Nvc has nothing to do with approving a petition.

Read my first post, I wrote there what you should do. If you have doubts, just google the terms, and have your us citizen partner do it, as he is the petitioner

Nov. 2016 - Applied for K1 Visa
Nov. 2016 - NOA1 

April 2017 - NOA2 (6 months!)

April 2017 - Arrived to NVC

April 2017 - Got the # from NVC

May 2017 - Case left NVC

May 2017 - Arrived to Embassy

May 2017 - Got Package 3 

May 2017- Got Package 4

May 2017 - Interview [APPROVED!]

June 2017 - Visa arrived home

June 2017 - Made it to the US. Finally with my future hubby!!

July 2017 - Married!

AOS Process

August 2017 - Started AOS

August 2017 - NOA1

Sept. 2017 - Biometrics

19th Dec. 2018 - Interview date  [16 months]

Dec. 2018 - GC processing

29th Dec. 2018 - GC arrived home! [10 days!]
Remove Conditions - Soon...

113 days it took us. And that was with an RFE. The wait seems forever. However, after the NOA2 is received, things seem to go much faster. Hang in there!  🇺🇸🇨🇭

8/14/17 --- AOS sent I-485, I-765, I-131

8/16/17 --- AOS Packet received Chicago USCIS Day 0

8/21/17  --- Received email & text notification 

8/23/17  --- Received hard copy of NOA  

9/01/17  --- Biometrics letter notice for I-485 & I-765 & I-131  

9/11/17  --- Biometrics Appointment Done

10/17/17 - Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview

11/30/2017 - EAD/AP Approved
12/01/2017 - Card in Production
12/05/2017 - Received Approval Notice in the Mail
12/06//2017 - Card Mailed (Priority Mail) to Me
12/07/2017 - Card Received 

1/19/18  --- Interview Date 2/21

2/21/18  ---  Approved on the Spot

  • 1 hour after the interview received uscis mobile app alert
  • Status changed from "Interview is scheduled" to "New Card Is Being Produced

2/26/18  --- Received hard copy of NOA for the Green Card

2/26/18  --- USCIS Mobile Status changed to "Card was mailed to me"

2/28/18 --- Permanent Resident/Green Card received :jest:

Very few people have grounds to expedite.  Most people who get their NOA2 fast have an easy case plus they get lucky.
