I am still waiting on my biometrics letter. Case has been active 49 days, and the 'received date' on all three NOAs was May 3rd. Growing increasingly frustrated and -- dare I say it -- angry. I'm still within the 60 days since 'last action' timeframe though so am unable to make a service request.

That has to be frustrating. I wonder if you're in an area that simply doesn't have many appointments available at the ASC. I'm guessing that's the reason.

I called USCIS and they informed me that the EAD should be delivered in 75 days from NOA1, if not is received I better call asking for its status.

Interesting. Did they actually say that a 75 day turnaround for an EAD card is the standard processing time? It seems quite variable based on what I've seen on peoples' timelines here. Everything from 72 days to over 120 days!

Yesterday, I went to the DMV to get a California ID card. I had all the paperwork they stated they needed from me on their web page. However, the lady denied my application because I don't have a green card. This does not make sense to me because I'm here legally. I showed her my NOA letter for the green card application. Does any of you have experience with getting a CA driver's license/ID card? I mean, there's tons of people who have a driver's license who are NOT green card holders. I suspect the lady at the DMV does not have her facts straight about immigration, like many others.

They usually take up to 7 days from arrival day to process the docs.

so don't worry.

I did some research on this and also got  some confirmation from uscis as to what constitutes the required immigration document from their perspective. You need a qualifying visa,  gc, ead, ap or an expired ead that was automatically extended by another ead noa. The doc expiry must be 60 plus days out.

So for you you're able to do it once you've got your ead or ap I'm in a similar boat with extending my current ca license. Apparently some have had trouble with the right documents in hand too so best to get really thorough and confirm with cadmv.

53 days now and absolutely no change. I can understand a delay between one's AOS package being received and USCIS issuing NOAs, and even months of seeming inactivity after the biometrics and awaiting AOS interview/approval, but this is ridiculous.

Granted, things to fluctuate in terms of progress, dependent on state and circumstance, but I have seen people's timelines in my state and people who filed well after me receive their biometrics appointment letter.

On the bright side (if you can call it that), only one more week before I am able to make a service request (or whatever they're called).

Here's hoping nobody else is suffering quite as bad.

Comparing timelines is like a double-edged sword. It can either give you hope or make you worry more. In your case, it is the latter. 😔

There's not much you can do right now but wait. But just like you said, just another week to go and you can finally file a service request. Hang in there, @Beefheart.

Here's to good news from you in the days to come! 🙏🏼

@Beefheart I also haven't received my biometrics appointment. I made a service request and they told me to schedule an infopass appointment instead and they closed my SR.  I am super frustrated and worried.
