I see some people talk about blood tests and all. Is it possible to schedule a medical exam date before recieving NOA2? My embassy's site says that I need to have an interview date scheduled first, but I'm not sure I really believe them.

I checked so many cases that I got banned from USCIS for a while lol

Well, this is a country specific thing but, in any case, you can't do the medical before NOA2, because the clinic is going to ask for your NVC case number minimum... And for your country, same as mine, you can't make the appointment for the medical until you have the interview scheduled. Just read that in your Embassy website :)

https://bg.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/fiancee/the-interview/

My advice is to always go by what your Embassy says, because I've seen some people struggling because they followed the advice from kind hearted people with good intentions... but from a country where things were different.

Also, I know the clinic here specifically points out the medical is valid for six months only. I want to use it for AOS and save some money, so that matters to me.

As for blood tests, not sure which ones are you talking about. They usually are performed for STD, though they mention the ones that can be done to know what vaccines you need based on antibodies showed in your blood.

You better try to get your vaccine records checking with your doctor to save you time and money

Of course, I already did! :)

But you better check with the Embassy website how long the certificate is valid for. Mine mentions they are good as long as they have been issued in the last year.

Always a good idea to work in collecting documents that might require some time, as long as you now they are going to be good and not expire :)

You bet!

The only thing you can't get now is your petitioners most recent pay stubs. Everything else can be gathered while waiting for NOA2 .

Then once you get your NVC# schedule your interview then medical a week or so before that date. Do not schedule med during "red days" or it will be rescheduled.

@Estibaliz, thank you. That's exactly what I know.

Does the USCIS send out a NOA1 letter to the beneficiery of the petition as well?

NOA2, same as NOA1, goes to the petitioner. Same for NVC letter. Even the Embassy can resort to contact the petitioner by email sometimes, to ask for the beneficiary's email address... sometimes they just will call the beneficiary :)

And welcome!

Actually... Gary sends me the PDF of the paystubs as soon as he gets them, so I'm up to date on that too, lol. Depending on when I get to send packet 3, I'll include the 3-4 last months :)

And that's fun you know about the "red days". It's a bummer to be a girl! I'm counting on that to possibly delay my medical, and not happy about it :P

No

Petition phase is for USC. We are basically asking the Govn to allow our foreign partner to apply for visa. If they determine that the relationship has merit, they will approve ( NOA2 )

At embassy stage beneficiary applies for visa.

Ok quick?  Is it last years tax return or last 3 years? I've seen both stated.

I've seen my Embassy mentions only last year's taxes, so that's what I'm going to send with packet 3, but getting 3 years with me to the interview just in case. As usual, better to see what the Embassy itself says, but being prepared with back up docs. :)

Each embassy has it's own rules regarding taxes.  There are plenty of threads regarding this topic.  Best bet is to check your regional forum for the best info or wait for the letter.  Luckily for us there is no lack of information regarding the Manila embassy.  Everything is already out there on a silver platter. :)
