  • 11-28-2022:  Congressman's office received USCIS statement that "application has been identified as a potential interview waiver application"
  • 03-27-2023:  USCIS Requested additional evidence "as it has been several years since you've submitted this petition" 
  • 05-13-2023:  Sent RFE response via USPS certified Priority mail
  • 05-17-2023:  USCIS received RFE packet
  • 05-19-2023:  USCIS case status updated to “New Card is Being Produced"

Yes they do, any update goes into the system; that's how i found out about my checklist (which turned out to be an error)

Wait a min: but the NVC website says it s taking up to 11 weeks for the process to be complete once the package is sent. Are you saying that if you send the package via e-mail the case will be complete within 2-3 weeks and those who sent the package by mail will take the normal time (11 weeks)?

I emailed them on Thursday, just 3 days ago. Let us know about your status this coming week.

Definitely, I will keep you updated. Did you receive a confirmation email from NVC that your documents had been received? We didn't, and I have heard that not everyone gets one. Some have made it to CC without ever receiving an auto-response from NVC confirming receipt.

I received it right after sending the e-mail. The e-mail does not really say that they received it, it just says that the e-mail is for sending the package and not for the purpose of inquiries. You should check your spam box.

Is it necessary getting a lawyer for help in preparing us for embassy interview with things to bring, etc.? We have had too many setbacks with a checklist, etc is it recommended to get a lawyer for this step?
