if you can advise the wording of your expedite response I can tell you whether its still to be reviewed at  the consulate.  I'm familiar with the wording of both

Its deft not being reviewed any more - but I have NOT sent documents for my daughter's checklist :(  I only asked for mine to be expedited

Dear Sir/Madam:

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your inquiry regarding the immigrant visa petition: **

The U.S. Embassy Consulate General has accepted this case for expedited processing. This file will be immediately forwarded to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate General may still request additional forms or fees at the time of your interview. Please be prepared to bring any missing forms and pay any required fees at the time of your interview.

Please note that it could take up to two weeks for the consular section to receive the case file once it has shipped from NVC.

Thank you.

well i would believe that no one besides nvc would know the correct answers just like at uscis some ppl case were approved in 3 month some 4 some 5 some are still waiting .......

Really its your call. But i would do email if given the options, i've seen EP CCs in 2 days u here. One of the reasons of being here is to learn from other's experience and so, avoid the pitfalls. Beside, i thought it was already established that most NVC reps don't kno'w what they're talking about, lol. Wish you all the best, whatever you decide.

The wording in that email means that NVC has ceased reviewing documents, and instead the embassy will be responsible for checking through them all upon receipt.  I"m not sure of your embassies processing time, but someone I know of here in NZ had contact from the embassy within 5 days of them receiving her file, and an interview 3 weeks later.
This is your daughters case that's been expedited, is that correct?  This is really good news. I'd suggest contacting the embassy over the next couple of days that they're open if you can, see if they have received it yet and ask what the next steps are.

Can i just send regular photocopies documents to NVC? Or is it have to be stamp certify true and correct from original?

You can send photocopies (plus English translation) to NVC but have the certified copies for the interview.

just normal photocopies.  NVC is the checker of documents ... they just want to know you have everything the embassy will need. When you get to interview stage they'll want originals and possibly a photocopy of all.

Thank you.  All our cases expedited.  We didnt want that.... we just asked for mine.  Not sure what to do now!  Daughters not moving till a year later.

my embassy can takes 6 to 8 months for intw normally so was happy in about 3 months to reply to checklist for them and let things flow.  Worried it may come too early for them now 😢  They will travel back and forth but was supposed to be on b2 only.  As they will only visit for now.

Just regular photocopies are fine. NVC no longer wants to be responsible for lost Vital civil documents. You will however need " ALL ORIGINALS " at the interview for verification in case you/your family is asked to present it.

Good luck!

Remember expediting just means the NVC no longer checks your documents. It's a riskier option.

You need to bring EVERYTHING for your interview. All originals when possible!

Has anyone seen the new format on the Ceac website? Now there doesn't seem to be any N/A's so how do we know now when case complete??

You can still go to "check my visa application status", and it still looks the same.  The way I knew case complete had happened for mine is that it changed from "submit required documents" to "AT NVC"

Hi everyone .. This is a great website to get the information about the documents we need to submit and its good to see there are other people like me who are waiting to get together with their loved ones.

My i-130 got approved on 03/13/2017. NVC received it on 04/26/2017 but they haven't given my wife a case number yet. She will call NVC again on monday n hopefully we will get the case number and the invoice ID.

What are the steps i need to follow after NVC gives me the case number and the invoice ID.

Another question is that I am a british citizen (beneficiary) living in England. I have applied for my UK police certificate. I moved to UK when i was 21. So do i need a police certificate from india as well ?? If Someone can help please ... thanks
