Meno you are  absolutely correct the entire process should have taken for a USC up to 1 year. I was told the same. If the  petitioner is a USC it takes up to a year. I am also 7 months going on 8th month in Nov. My PD is march 9th and I am with Nebraska. Lawyers and even customer service told me the same thing as you are saying. But now ita different and they all lie.

its just really sad and depressing. I feel like my life is on pause just waiting. California service center doesn't even update the filing process on the USCIS website for spouses of US citizens. i had hoped when i went home for christmas that my husband would be coming back up with me but now i don't even know.

It seems we are approved. Took 199 days.

March 29-Oct 14 TSC

Updated our timeline

Congratulations! Could you please tell if you applied as a permanent resident or US citizen? The processing times seem to be different for both.

Does anyone have experience expediting the NVC process if the petitioner is offered a job with a defined start date?

I am interviewing for a job that I am pretty confident I'll get, if the last two interviews mean anything. If I get a letter of offer to start in January, as I predict, my lawyer says we can file this as a way of expediting. Has anyone done this, or know how long it could take? I have so little faith in the system.

Hey guys sorry for butting in march cause i have follow march when i first join vj. Anyway im a january filers and it all depend on how fast your service centre is moving. Never exact date or timeline can you tell when the process will be complete. I recently just got approved on oct 12 (so it all the jan filers)Pd date is jan 27. So you will have to keep track where your service centre is moving at. Not what your lawyer or anyone can tell you what your exact time and date. Best way for you to check your service centre is to look at a month before your on vj.

Congrats. But what do you mean it "seems" you were approved? didn't get any mail?

There is a letter that says we are approved. I didn’t know what to feel or think about it, the wait has totally infected my mood. We’re thinking of changing plans for him to move to my country cause we don’t want to be separated but now all of a sudden the approval came.

Update!!!

Just got an email from NVC at 1am. It was a welcome letter with my case number and a checklist on what to include and basically what to do next.

I know the uscis sent my package on October 5th, not sure when NVC received it (maybe a week later because it went from Texas to New Hampshire).

I updated my timeline. Keep holding on everyone. It's a slow and gruelling process but totally worth it to be in our husband or wifes arms eventually 😊😍

Seems like Nebraska are taking a break. No Nebraska cases are being updated for almost a week now. So dissapointing.

Please fill in your timeline so it helps the website to predict more accurately adjuration time. Thanks

FML. 211 days TSC and still no NOA2 whatttt isss happpeninggg!! I looked at cases around my and not approved either but theres a ton of april filers approved. I dont understand this anymore, someone told me that if my wife had previously applied for a tourist visa and was denied that this would affect my i130 and would be sent to background check? anybody has gone through this? i've been reading posts here about it and people says it does not affect but being that its taking forever i dont know what to think anymore. Last time i called USCIS about 2 weeks ago Tier 2 officer did not says anything about background checks he just said to wait. :crying:
