Rachel Maddow left with nothing after fake news report

Well, that was a whole lot of nothing.  20 minutes of build-up before she was scooped on her own show by @thehill.  Trump paid taxes in 2005 was the final outcome.

 

"You know you are desperate for ratings when you are willing to violate the law to push a story about two pages of tax returns from over a decade ago," the statement read. "Despite this substantial income figure and tax paid, it is totally illegal to steal and publish tax returns. The dishonest media can continue to make this part of their agenda, while the President will focus on his, which includes tax reform that will benefit all Americans."

Maybe.  But I don't see the advantage of leaking it vs. just making it public himself.  

 

The real question is... why did Maddow try to make a big deal over it, when it's pretty normal?

ratings? if trump had made public just two pages of a tax return from a year where he paid millions of dollars in tax everyone would say, oh where's the rest? why just this? now, he gets to say those that want to see his taxes should be satisfied, he has in fact paid taxes (in 2005, no details) AND he gets to go after the press yet again for doing something illegal (yet another time trump claims criminal wrongdoing with zero evidence). my only beef with this trump plan is that maddow ate it up.

 

and what's normal is for candidates to release their taxes before getting in office, not promising to release their taxes throughout the campaign and then once being elected say, hey i got elected ya'll don't need to see that.

Rachel has very high ratings right now, and she has been trying hard to break news stories that are concerning. No doubt she wanted a scoop, and felt it needed to be seen. It's not even the complete document - but he gets to leak a few pages out (showing a rich dude pays some taxes and gets a lot of tax breaks) and can say ''see all my taxes look like this....'' when it's not the complete form, and it's only the 2005 form. It won't matter to his supporters as long as he can keep convincing them of whatever gibberish of the day he runs with.

The MDl media is like the gang that cant shoot straight. LOL All these months they have been screaming Trump paid no taxes. . The Sandinistas here have been screaming Trump paid no Taxes.  They just cant ever sem to get anything right.

 

Now they are blaming it on Trump and are frothing about.. so let me understand. They have been frothing mad because they wanted Trump to release his Tax returns and frothing mad claiming he paid no taxes. Now they are frothing mad claiming he released his income taxes.

i'm saying there are multiple reasons candidates release tax fillings, and there's multiple reasons why two pages 'leaked' from a 2005 return is not sufficient imo.

I got it figured out. The Russians blackmailed Trump using the secret stuff they have on him, to force him to release his tax payment , to discredit the all the liberals who have screamed he paid no taxes, to rig the next election
