This is quite old thread. I started it in March 2017 to monitor the N-400 trends in SoCal field offices. In my initial posting, I included more than 40 filers in the region. It gradually grew and helped SoCal filers to track the trend and discuss their issues. Unfortunately, most filers haven't provided their updates to this thread. Some filers left without giving any updates. Each month I went over different N-400 monthly threads and continuously updated the timeline for two and half years. Even after I became a citizen two years ago, I decided to visit once a month to provide an update. It is time to say good bye. Interview was done today but the officer said they cannot waive I-751 to be able to continue with N-400 interview. He said interview will need to be rescheduled and my husband needs to be there even though I provided him with his military order/change of station.

He asked a bunch of questions about how we met and why we haven't lived together yet, checked each transaction on bank statement. He questioned why my husband doesn't have any transactions on our joint account.

It's very frustrating that they just looked at those statements. We are just waiting for an update/letter for another interview.

UPDATE: 

 

We moved to Boston from Los Angeles in September. My n400 interview is this coming monday the 7th of October 2019 in Boston. Once I did the change of address I got a interview notification within ( and im not kidding) 30 seconds. just crazy that we waited almost a year in LA without a word and 30 seconds of living in MA and we have a scheduled interview date. And now just the weekend to go before the final hurdle 

applied for N400 whilst I751 was pending, however I751 was approved without an interview on Jan 10th /11th

N-400 applied Online: 11/7/18

BIO for N400 : 11/30/18

EST. Case Completion: October 2019) of 7/15/19 

INTERVIEW: 10/7/2019- APPROVED

OATH DATE: 10/24/2019-  received oath letter in the mail on 10/11 

 

LOCAL OFFICE: BOSTON ( moved from California (SANTA ANA, CA) )

Hello Everyone ? so i passed the Interview at Santa Ana Office last Friday Oct 11, my Status has changed at the same day to "approved" the officer told me they will be having a ceremony Nov 11 but did not told if i will be attending it or not, so I was expecting the status to be change the next days to " we scheduled your oath " but nothing changed , and my estimate case completion time has changed to 3 months after i got approved !!! before the interview it was 1 month only !!

Anyone has this experience before ? does it will take 3 months as estimate time saying ?

Hi,

I have my N400 Interview on february12th-2020  and was approved at the spot and the approved paper was issued. My status updates online on my USCIS account are till date

February 13, 2020We transferred your application to another USCIS field office for review

on my case status site https://egov.uscis.gov/  it says "The oath ceremony will be scheduled' We placed you in line for your oath ceremony and will send you a notice for Receipt.......
Is this normal ? Does anyone received this kind of status updates on two different sites after approval of N400 interview . Thanks
