I’m a LA filer and had my interview in Chatsworth today.  

 

It took 20 minutes and I wasn’t asked to show any documents except for IDs: passport, the latest permanent resident card, and driver’s license.

 

For English test, I was asked to read “what do you need to pay to government?” and to write “we pay taxes” on the tablet.  

The civics questions were:

•name one US territory

•who’s the father of the US

•what was declared in the Declaration of Independence

•what state borders with Canada

•why there’re 13 stripes on the flag

•what’s the right only for US citizens

 

The interviewer told me that my oath day will be April 23 and I will be receiving the letter in two weeks, and she also told me to bring 2 passport-sized photos to the ceremony.  

 

I hope this helps someone who’s interview is on the way ahead. I felt prepared thanks to the people on VJ and more than anything, I got tremendous emotional support from here. Thank you all.

I got a text this afternoon. My interview is scheduled. I filed my case on March 6, had my biometric done on March 28. I live in the city of LA but my case belongs to LA County office.    I’

FINALLY A US CITIZEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had my Oath Ceremony earlier today at Anaheim. Even though i was scheduled for 1:15pm, because i arrived the Venue really early, they allowed me take the Oath with the morning group!

Truly amazing and great experience! Glad this hurdle is crossed..

Got a txt msg today Thank God 🙏.. my interview was scheduled today ( march 29th). They will send me the letter of the interview in mail. I will check in a few days to know the exact day of the interview. Things are moving for April/may filers in SA FO.. I'll keep you guys posted.

This was the best news I recieved this weekend! Congratulations and now I am hoping I’m gonna get mine in a week! Fingers crossed!

Great, Santa Ana just increased to 12-17.5 months

previously it was 10-15 then 11-16.5. now this.

 

Back logs upon Back logs. So guess we will wait just as long for n400 as we did for our ROC. I find it pretty ridiculous that we have Field Offices that have years of waiting where others people have been processed within 90 days.  ( See march 2019 filers), just infuriating. We live in LA but for whatever reason the zip code is serviced by Santa Ana, so instead of having the LA minimum of 9.5 months we have a minimum of a year. Just wonderful.

OATH DATE: 10/24/2019-  received oath letter in the mail on 10/11

Hi  All, 

 

I need some help in this forum please. I have applied for N400 Citizenship application. I am a Green card holder for over 5 years now. My Priority date is May 26th, 2018. My biometrics was reviewed back in June 2018. Since then there hasn't been any update. I have opened 3 separate investigations with USCIS but I keep getting this automated response noted below.  Can someone please let me know how soon I can expect an interview as this process seems painfully slow? Also it shows online that estimated completion time is 2 month.

 

"Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for interviews at their local Field Office. Interview appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the Field Office. "

Yes, it is very frustrating. San Fernando Valley is one of the slowest offices in SoCal. If you go over its completed cases, @ontheroadagain  is the last person. He got his interview date after 353 days. @aaakortee who applied on April 14, 2018, seems to be still waiting. Current estimated processing time is 13.5 -17.5 months. You are almost there. Best of Luck.

Thank you, can't wait to hear soon for my interview date. Everyone I know has had their whole application within 6 months. Now its take forever it seems.

Hi everyone! 

Today I received a text and email that “we are still reviewing your case and no updates at this time!” It made me so disappointed, then for some reason, which I have no idea of, I logged in to my account and saw that in fact there is an update and my interview is scheduled and the date for update is April 19, 2019! But there is no letter in document tab! So do not trust USCIS notifications! Yaaayyy I’m so happy!
