It's their normal proceeding at NVC, so do not worry :)

Actually a lot of people freak out when they don't find their cases under Non-Immigrant and ask about it often :D

Yes, I think just short of two weeks, today is actually exactly 2 weeks since our NOA2 date of 3/8. Hopefully it will leave the NVC today

Although the case number is a little confusing. It is XXX2017728xxx, so that looks like July 28 2017 to me or might just be coincidence. If it's a date, then it is even before our NOA2 date ? hmmmm

I am gonna call NVC next Thursday because that will be 15 days since our NOA2. I am still panicking about the money but not so much. I rethought out my plan to get to the states. I was gonna just POE at the Winnipeg Airport but after talking to United Airlines about taking my cat Pixie on the smaller plane from Devils Lake, ND to Denver is about the same cost and its closer to drive to than Winnipeg. So my POE will be the border crossing near our place. They assured me they can handle a K-1 visa. LOL The guy said to me last time I went across that they all get training in it and they try to keep an up to date instruction manual onsite. LOL I was like OOOKAY lol

It's been a bit since the last update since I've been working, but now that I have a break, here's the by-day breakdowns current as of about noon on 8/17.

First NOA2s by NOA1 date. You can see things are starting to fill out, especially around 3/15. Still got some outliers (3/10 especially.)

2017/03/01 21 17 81%
2017/03/02 8 8 100%
2017/03/03 15 9 60%

2017/03/06 32 25 78.1%
2017/03/07 20 16 80%
2017/03/08 5 4 80%
2017/03/09 21 13 61.9%
2017/03/10 11 5 45.5%
2017/03/11 8 7 87.5%
2017/03/12 1 1 100%
2017/03/13 21 18 85.7%
2017/03/14 12 11 91.7%

Next, NOA2s by date the NOA2 was isssued. I trimmed this to just the past month because it's gettin awkwardly large.

8/14 was a big day for August issues:

2017/07/14 2
2017/07/17 2
2017/07/18 3
2017/07/19 10

2017/08/09 1
2017/08/10 1
2017/08/11 2
2017/08/14 7
And last, the big countries. Canada suddenly goes from one of the last to tied for first. It's really starting to look like they batch things by country. My sympathy to those marrying people from the Dominican Republic, clearly the USCIS isn't a fan of your country.:

Australia 9 7 77.8%

Canada 20 18 90%
China 7 4 57.1%

Yeah, I saw you were having trouble with that.. I know you are checking under Immigrant already, so no idea really. Didn't they tell you what the issue could be?

they say if they can, I should be able too.. I am the one that's doing something wrong. The only thing I can think of is the number being wrong but they are telling me it's right. I don't know. I was hoping that someone with a similar experience can help.

So stoked, our case has reached the NVC as of Aug. 15th! (NOA2 notice dated Aug 3.)

How long does it typically take to go to the consulate? Do we have to wait to get an actual letter from NVC in order to do anything?

as far as I know, the moment you have your MNL Case # you can now schedule your appointment at the USEM, but make sure your fiance has paid the visa interview fee at a BPI Branch, and once he's paid, it will take about 8 hours for the payment to reflect online prior to scheduling the interview appointment. Last Monday I checked the next available time slot for an interview at the USEM and it was Sept 19. Probably will be around Sept 2X by now for the next available appointment. And of course, once the interview has been scheduled, your fiance can gather the information needed for the interview, and also do the St Lukes 2 day Medical Exam too.

If you already have the number, you don't really need the letter or email...which is good because I'm not sure they always send those and, if so, sometimes it takes a while.

Not sure how long is the case there, because that can vary too, but the norm is just a few days. I think they claim 2-4 when someone asks for things to be corrected while the case is there, and that's why they refer you to the Embassy to do some changes in address or consulate. Of course, there's always rare exceptions of the case being stuck there longer.
