I just had my medical today. It included a full physical, a blood and urine test (for STD's), and a chest X-ray. Came to AU$539 (about US$400), which is better than I was expecting. I got lucky as the only vaccination that I was missing was the current flu shot, which I got for free as a health professional.

On the down side I'm still waiting for Sydney to receive the petition - it still shows on the tracker as 'In Transit'. Hopefully soon so I can book my interview!

For everyone still waiting - be patient and pray! It'll happen soon I'm sure!

Im allready in panic mode because of the  consent letter thats needed from there dad isnt good enough apparently it needs a stamp or  something to make it legit...   even if the  document are downloaded from the  embassy??

Thank you! It actually arrived 5 minutes after I had gone to bed, so Eric was fidgeting for several hours looking forward to sharing the news while I was sleeping:)

Thank you!

As for your questions, I might be wrong but I think that this I-94 is generated electronically when you cross the border. Have you seen this guide? http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn

Is there any chance for you to contact the kids' father again and make a new letter according to the requirements? Here in Ukraine it's quite a common practice, when a child is going abroad, the parent who is not going with them must sign a notarized letter. It took us 15 min to get it done.

I have no kids and I'm not in the US, so I can't be sure I have the right answer, but it seems to me you should be fine with the kids' passports and birth certificate, along with the i94, to get their SSN.

The i94 is an electronic document CBP issues to record arrival and departure from the States, so it should be the same for you and your kids, as in it's automatically generated as you go through customs and it doesn't requires any procedure your side.

Hope someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but it shouldn't be an issue provided you have the correct documentation.

Sorry to hear you are having trouble with the consent letter. I guess they are asking you to notarize that or something
