Just mailed my I-130 for my spouse (female) who is living in Pakistan ... Post-Trump feeling very anxious ....

Proof of bonafide marriage:

Marriage certificate

Airline tickets to attend the wedding ( me and my brother )

wedding ring receipt

affidavits of 3 relatives

we had a proper wedding over 2 days - so sent 10 wedding pictures with family etc

whatsapp chat transcipt

pictures after the wedding with us very happy and hanging out

joint bank statement

I hope the evidence is sufficient ... feeling very anxious because of trump :(

The affidavits won't carry any weight but the pictures from the wedding and your brother flying to Pakistan for the wedding is good. What about evidence of other visits or did you get married on your first visit?

Yes i did everything else following the guidelines ... my package was very detailed with cover letter and all

The only thing is i dont have much evidence of relationship before marriage except the one airline ticket and whatsspp chat history as we didnt had much of a relationship before

Our marriage was arranged but we fell in love madly after we got married ... we are also planning a trip abroad in couple of months ...

Marriage on first visit doesn't mean any harm, stop misleading people, if the proof is enough and real,  there's no stopping.

I asked a simple question, whether OP had evidence from other visits or not, you're the one jumping to assumptions and misleading people. "If the proof is enough and real, there's no stopping", really?!?! We have a bunch of VJ members whose marriages were real and they put plenty of evidence but their visas were still denied and they had to fight for years for their spouse to finally get their visa approved.

There are several embassies where marriage on first visit will get you extra scrutiny or even a denial, for example Ghana and Nigeria. There are a lot of countries where VJ recommend front and side loading, to ensure as much bona fida evidence as possible is submitted.

OP, once you hit NVC, I would add evidence of that first visit.

Pakistan is a tough embassy when it comes to interviews. I would suggest holding on to the evidence of your trip until they request for more evidence (RFE), if they don't ask for anything then yes bring it with you to the interview.

I'm from Nigeria,  got married first meeting,  got our approvals,  so why the epistle,  there are other factors that determines approval! Relax man!

Good for you that the interviewing officer at the US Embassy in Nigeria didn't bring up the fact that you only had one visit and approved the immigration visa.

There are certainly many factors that determine whether or not someone is approved for an immigrant visa but to say that you'll get approved as long as you're in a "real relationship" really is a slap in the face to all those who have to fight their way to a visa. And it's misleading. Visits, i.e face to face time, will always be the strongest evidence and if you have more than one visit like OP does, it is certainly recommended to include that.

Oh and I'm a woman by the way.

You got through because:

Only a mad Nigerian would leave the heat, sun and food of Nigeria to settle in the "not so warm" Montana  (your profile), its space, lack of nightclubs, shops within 100 miles, and to have interview questions like:

  • Did you always dream of being a cowboy?
  • Will you be visiting the garden of 1000 buddhas?
  • Can you play the ringing rocks?
  • Will you go to work when you have 5 foot of snow and it is -15C on a Monday

Trump is not an issue, the world is moving - Germany wants more immigrants because we do not have enough engineers, doctors, nurses - no-one moves to Germany because of language problems so refugees are at ground zero and can learn or transfer skills.

No Pakistan is not as tough as Ghana embassy, i had my interview in a tough times and they only ask my name and who sponsored me, that was it. same as for my family.
