Oh jeepers….now that I have learned walls don't work….we need to get rid of prison walls. The criminals will just stay there. haha.

What next will the liberal loonies think of? Roads don't work? Fire isn't hot? Gravity doesn't work?

Next thing they will lie to your face and call it alternative facts...

And for the record, as most old timers here know, I am not for open borders. I still have the door on my house.

I don't take the "wall" at a literal sense and even Trump has seemed open to a similar model as in the west bank, where only about 5% of it(the 5% that gets the most attention) is an actual wall, and the rest is a "multi layered fence system". I think that is a solution that could work at the southern border as well. That's why I also mentioned fences in my original reply earlier. Like you said you are not for open borders neither am I, a country has a right to put an obstacle, call it a fence, a wall or a combo of both, they work. Even the Berlin wall worked for what it was intended to do, whether we agree with why it was put there or not.

 Not even mentioning them all:

* Most undocumented immigrants overstayed their VISAS. Planes go over walls. (They already changed the VISA process)

* It can't be done fully in certain sections considering geographical obstacles like mountains. There's also private property.

* The crazy amount of money to build and maintain, and that Mexico is not going to pay, unless forced to/alienating us more.

* Undocumented migration from Mexico has declined. The smallest it's been since the 90's

*The number of apprehensions at the border is the lowest it's been since the 70's.

*What do you think happens when people know a door is closing? Run fast and try to get in. (This is me speculating, not a fact)

* Mexico builds great tunnels. the Greatest. You'll see. No one builds tunnels like us. (Many tunnels have been discovered)

It isn't about rights, but common sense. Of course the U.S has every right to protect itself, deny entry, change whatever law or build all the walls they want.

It is impractical, and in my opinion, not useful enough to justify the expense.

Ok I still don't see the proof they don't work in your post. Anyways, nowadays even tunnels can be detected.

Or post nonsense because they have no good response but still feel the need to say something so they feel relevant in the discussion.
