I did the CR1 process and my husband came to the USA 11 months after being married. When he got here he got his green card that says it expires 2028, is this normal?  All my friends got a 2 year temporary green card.

Okay now, he didnt get a permanent card vs temporary card.  He incorrectly recieved a 10 year green card instead of a 2 year conditional green card.  You file an I-90 with the incorrect card for free to get the correctly dated card.

It's an error that happens. Get it corrected, he cannot just use that card thinking he doesn't need to remove condition later. If he fails to remove conditions he can be put into removal.

Glad I asked. Thanks for info

You're welcome.  His endorsed passport is a temporary green card valid for 1 year that he can use for anything, including emoloyment, while he waits for the replacement card.

No charge for filing the i-90 either, since it's on the basis of a USCIS error.

if you been married over two years, then he is supposed to get a 10 year green card, but if you haven't been married that long, then he is supposed to get a temporary 2 year green card

the 2 year green card is not temporary, it's conditional.  The conditions being that you entered into a marriage in good faith and can prove that after 2 years (minus 90 days max) as an LPR.

Thanks NikLR for your correction on my comment, you are right, the 2 year green card is conditional.

it may make sense to get his drivers license with the 10-year card, if he hasn't gotten it yet, they'll give you a lot less grief...
