Hello everyone :) I found this site about a month ago but was too shy to join. However, I would check every night for updates and seeing the community on here just advising and supporting each other made me really want to join, so I did. I am petitioning for my spouse and here are the specifics of my case:

-Service Center: Texas

-PD: Feb 28

-NOA1: March 4

-RFE: None (hoping they don't send one asking for husband's birth certificate because it's not even a requirement)

-Currently waiting for NOA 2 (160 days and counting... Still no website updates, no email, no text message)

Let me know if you have any tips or advice for me :)

Anybody else at Nebraska SC?

Same here I'm so disappointed with Nebraska but yet my feelings doesn't matter. I'm heading to see my husband in 2 weeks. I spoke with a t2 officer on Friday how upset I was after speaking with him. Telling me he doesn't know why I filed a petition I'm so almost 2 the giving up point.😶

I hear you. Nearly the exact same situation here!

I wouldn't imagine that immigration rule changes, should there be any, would be retrospectively applied... but I can definitely sympathise with the worry about things being beyond our control in this process!

Hi all.

Just filling out the ds260 online. Quick question regarding social security number.

I have previously been issued with a SSN when I had a j1 visa. It states in the card 'valid for work only with DHS authorization'

Do I enter my SSN or answer another way? I guess SSN once issued is valid for life?

Thanks
