Pleased to report that we FINALLY have our case number! I called this morning and they didn't have it, but we spoke to the same agent just now who confirmed our number. At long, long last. CC: @eastcoastgroove

Great! Congratulation and a speedy rest of the process! same to all the other still waiting after something!

My fiance just spoke with someone at the NVC and they said we are a "pivot case" and it was received June 6 and that we should have a number any day now 🙌 She also said we need to choose option 5 as that is the only one who can see it in their system.

No he didn't!! I was shocked he even called as I've been doing all the calling.  He asked me what it was.  She said we can try calling back tonight for our number so if we get someone nice I'll ask.  He may have misheard too.... Bit I would assume it just means a test case for the new system or something.

This is the exact information we were given. A pivot case is one being trialled on the new electronic system, rather than the paper courier system, and is dealt with via CEAC agents (option 5) electronically. Your receive date is 3 days after mine so you should get good news soon. Keep calling option 5, as they're the only ones who seem to actually know what is going on, and are polite and helpful about your situation! Crossing my fingers for you.

Definitely!  I will call again until I get the case number!

We had similar problems and frustrations.  Felt like every time we called the NVC we got a different answer, anything from "I can see we have your case, but we don't have a number" to "It doesn't look like we have your case".  We did FINALLY get it pushed through.  After we hit the 30 day mark from receiving the NOA2, I followed the instructions on the NOA2 that say to email the NVC if you don't hear from them. My fiancé also called, and when told that he should wait two weeks after it's received by the NVC, he pointed out it has been more than two weeks (NVC received our case on May 24th). Once he pointed that out, he was routed to a manager, who then told him they found our case and are working on it (or something to that affect). When I called later that evening, the lady first told me she couldn't see my case was received (minor panic attack on my part), and then said, "Oh wait, here it is! Oh yes, looks like it was received May 24th and was last touched at 6:45 pm today". A few days later, I got an email from the NVC with all of our information including the revered RDJ Number. Just today (a week later) we received an email from the embassy with our packet 3 and interview scheduling information.

So...things do move fairly quick once they start moving again, keep courage!

I hope this information helps!  I would recommend following the instructions in the NOA2 and emailing the NVC, and also maybe next time you call the NVC kindly point out that it has been over 2 weeks since the NVC received your case, and you were under the impression it should be processed by now.

I hope all your cases get processed soon!  I know how frustrating the waiting is!

Our petiton was accepted on May 25 and almost two weeks later they assigned the case number. Yesterday my embassy received the case. The online status checker says 'ready' :)

And do all the pics need to be the same or can I use two different sets once they meet the requirements? (Yes I know odd question..lol)

You can't because they require the photos to be identical. You can, however, submit a different set of photos on your interview from the set you provided at medical, or on the petition. They require recent photos, anyway. Just don't submit different photos at once. I hope this made sense. It's 4am and my English is not yet 100%. :P

Mybe best thing to do first is to call your US embassy hotline in your country. Tell your issues. They might have a solution for you

Thank you for your concern! I had the issue resolved already, they said everything will be fine and that everybody's case is different, I also checked if it was also just a chrome glitch, it wasn't, it also does the same thing in internet explorer and online examples show the same information wasn't filled on ds160 forms.

They also mentioned if they need the information, it will just be asked at interview.

Called today and NVC received our case! Got our case # and invoice #!

The lady on the phone said I should have received an email with the required steps. What are these required steps? Is she talking about these...

Step 1:  Choose an agent

Step 2:  Pay fees

Step 3:  Submit visa application form

Step 4:  Collect financial documents

Step 5:  Collect supporting documents

Step 6:  Submit documents to the NVC

She also said I should call and check back every so often to see if the case was sent to the embassy. Does anyone know about how long its taking received date to send the case to the embassy? I don't want to call a whole bunch of times because I'm in Chile right now using Skype credit which can add up pretty quickly being on hold. Also, to check if the case was sent to the embassy am I supposed to choose option 5?

The steps you listed are for people in the process of getting an immigrant visa, as a k1 you won't be sending any docs to nvc and won't go through that process

the email you might get with steps is from the foreign embassy your partner will interview at

Thanks so much for clarifying. I didnt think there was anything K1 had to do at NVC but the woman confused me.
