You start not looking forward to holidays when going through the visa process, just makes it seem so much slower and longer. I just hope to hear great news from everyone soon as we go through this journey together.^_^

I just want to update my petition you guys. Yesterday I posted about the timetable USCIS has on their side, complaining and frustrated about our case still being RECEIVED.

So earlier this morning, i decided to call straight to NVC to ask what is going on with my status (still says RECEIVED on the USCIS case tracker).

( waited 20 minutes before my call got answered )

Him: Good morning sir, how may I help you

Me: Hello sir good morning, my name is bla bla bla and I just want to ask about the status of my petition, here is my receipt number ( WAC )

Him: Okay sir, may I ask who the beneficiary is and what is her date of birth.

Me: ( gave him the info )

Him: Sir, your petition has been sent to Manila Embassy. The embassy will contact her soon.

Me: (shockingly said) WHAT??? My case status still says received though ? Does that mean we are approved?

Him: Sir, you are not only approved. Your case has been sent to the Manila Embassy. In this case, your beneficiary is just waiting for the embassy to contact her with the requirements.

Do you want your case number?

Me: OFCOURSE! Thank you sir.!

( so on and so forth )

So I got the case number and rushed to my laptop, check the status of it ( NVC site ) and it says " Ready " ( ready for interview!!!!!!!!!!!! ).

I was like what the heeeeckkkkkkk ?? So i have been waiting for our approval but our case is ready for an interview.

LOL, im not even mad, it's amazing!!!!

TO ALL THE JANUARY FILERS, THE FIRST THING I RECOMMEND FOR YOU GUYS TO DO IN THE MORNING...

DO NOT CHECK USCIS STATUS TRACKER, DO NOT CHECK YOU MAIL. TRY CALLING NVC RIGHT AWAY!!

PS: January 23, 2017 is my NoA1. Never received a NoA2 hard copy, my WAC receipt never got updated ( Still says RECEIVED )

That is nuts!!!!! Congratulations tho! I'm so happy to read this! Fingers crossed for the interview and I hope you'll be together soon!

We are on 127 days now.

We emailed the Senator last week but we haven't get any response yet. We called CSC talked to Tier 2 officer, and he said our case still not been assigned to any officer yet :(

They said average processing dates are dec-15 now. But that's just average

Try calling NVC

I'm switching over to an expat insurance plan back home, especially since you won't be able to work and thus won't be covered by your employer for the first months in the states. About insurance in the States I've heard mixed reviews, some pay their own as an entrepreneur and claim to have good coverage for 200 dollars a month and others says their employer pays 25 grand a year to get them decent coverage. So it seems like there is a very broad range, and I believe it also depends on age and preexisting conditions.

We called 1-800-375-5283.

We had some problems getting our case number to be accepted.. but if you press nothing when you call you eventually get through as they presume something is wrong (the key to speaking to a person on any automated system is to intentionally press the wrong thing until they figure you need manual help!).

Hey, we both have the same exact dates for our RFE timeline and we're also from the same country but my case status still says 'received' may 12th. For every German it took from 3 days to 10 to get their NOA 2 so I feel like they already made a decision.

We called the number you posted here but my fiancé couldn't get through? Is there another trick or should just keep calling?

@nathantessa Congrats!!! Just a question, did you ever call USCIS to ask about your case?

Thanks!

No, i never did. Their system is broken, i didn't bother calling them because I know i will get nothing.
