Hi. The i134 is something to be filled in for the K1 visa. The i864 is something to be filled in for the AOS after you're married. We have to do it all again after to adjust status. 😊 but then we will be be with our loved ones so we can do all that bit together. Hope this helps.

Ps. Anyone know if the system is still down? Are we still all just waiting for the snail mail?

I'd like to give everyone an update on my case.....

If you remember last Friday I called the NVC just to find out that my fiance's Date of Birth was entered wrong into the system by the USCIS.  So because of this I was not able to pass the security questions, and furthermore not able to track my case.  The NVC agent told me to send an email to the NVC with the passport and birth certificate of my fiance and they will forward it to the US Embassy in Bogota, Colombia to have it fixed before it is processed by the Embassy.

Today I called back the NVC to see if the petition has left the NVC, but also to see if my email and info made it to the right hands.  After a half hour wait I finally made it through to an agent.  She asked for the receipt number, then my fiance's name, then my fiances birthday.  I responded with the correct birthday, and after I said her birthday, I started to say that I called Friday and tell her the story but she cut me off and asked for petitioners name.  So I said my name.  And then she started talking about my petition and saying it was received and I have a case number assigned.  She said a case number was assigned on Friday and on Monday the case was touched again.

So what that tells me is that they were able to fix the birthdate before sending the petition to the Embassy because I obviously passed the security question this time with a correct DOB.  And since I called Friday and found out about the issue, and then sent the email with info that same Friday, and the NVC agent today said the case was touched again on Monday, it seems they fixed the issue on Monday with the info from my email.  So today I was able to get my Case Number from the NVC :)  :)  :)  :)

Last thing I'll say is about the NVC receive date.  The NVC agent today, when I asked when the petition was received, says she doesn't have that information.  All she had was when the NVC assigned the Case Number which was Friday.  So, the receive date on the VJ timelines seems to be a complete guess?  I don't know how you can get that information?  Because when I called Friday and found out about the DOB error, the agent would not tell me anything specific about my case.  When I asked him has my petition at least arrived yet?  And his answer was "Oh, it's definitely here."   I took that as my receive date was Friday then.  Since I called literally the day before, on Thursday, and they said they DID NOT receive the petition yet?  But then Friday the guy said "Oh, it's definitely here".... he knew that it was there because the Case Number was assigned, that is why it was a "DEFINITELY".  Which now I'm figuring out thanks to my call today and the agent today said the case number was assigned Friday.

So I don;'t know how you can track the NVC receive date???

Anyway.... SORRY for wall of text.  It's probably really hard to follow too, my apologies.  But I'm happy that I can at least track now :)

Congrats on the progress!! I think it is safe to assume that your NVC Received date is Friday. I used to call every night too. And they got me a case number the day they've received it. So the received date and case #assiged date for me is similar.

Hey guys, any other January filers still waiting for NOA2 (NOA1 24th here)? I've been pretty calm so far but honestly, its getting so frustrating. From their "We are working on November 15th cases" ridiculous answer to the online tracker not working, its getting pretty annoying. :/

I also have NOA1 of the 24th, still nothing. Last I heard from my congresswoman (Friday) my case was with an adj officer but no approval or RFE yet... I agree it is so frustrating :(

So the congressional inquiry doesn't help much?

Doesn't seem like it. It appears (based on the responses I have seen here) that they just ask the same questions we ask and get the same canned responses back.

It honestly helped me a bit, because now I know my case is not lost lol and it's not buried in a box on the shelf. But rather on an officers desk... here's the response I got if it helps out any bit ...

"

Hey Antonia – here is the response I got back from USCIS. Typically, when a case is with an officer, it is only a matter of time before a decision is issued – assuming they don’t need to request additional evidence. I would expect you will hear something directly from USCIS with 10-14 days but obviously they say it could be up to 30. Keep me posted,

Re: I-129F Petition:

Petitioner:

Good afternoon ....,

Thank you for your inquiry to California Service Center (CSC) Congressional Unit.

Our record confirms that the above referenced case is under review with an adjudication officer. The review is expected to be completed within 30 days. Please feel free to contact us if your constituent does not receive a notice of action* within 30 days.

*A notice of action may be in a form of Approval Notice, Denial Notice, Transfer Notice, Request for Evidence, Notice of Intent to Deny or Notice of Intent to Revoke.

We hope the information provided is helpful.  If we may be of assistance in the future, please let us know.

Respectfully,"

then i I asked when this email had been received ...

"Hi Antonia – happy to help. I got the message Friday night (May 12). I know they are backlogged on a lot of applications right now but it’s good to hear your case is with an officer."

I sent a one page letter on how the fee has doubled and their processing time has doubled, how it's not fair that cases after mine have been approved, how the first week of May no one had any notifications on approvals and just said all that was a big concern and if I can get their assistance with sending an inquiry and thankfully it was done really fast.
