I hope they investigate and find the leak and charge them with treason or espionage.  We can't even keep a secret anymore.

The CIA and FBI seem to be on the wrong path. Here we have millions of Americans upset that the "russians" have been trying to hack us and then the CIA is allegedly leaking classified documents on a regular basis. Why should we even care if anyone hacks us if the CIA is justing leaking anyways? 

 

I hope we eventually get to the bottom of what looks like corruption from the CIA. Our own government…and I don't believe what they say.

I'm a little confused by the conflicting info out there about the "Russians hacked the election" story.

 

One the one hand, I've heard that the DNC and/or Hillary's email account(s) had extremely lazy/easy passports like "Obama08" and so forth. Has this been proven by anyone? Because if it is actually true, then the claims that 'a 12 year old in his parents basement could've hacked it' certainly don't seem like exaggeration.

 

On the other hand, WikiLeaks is involved. Wikileaks also has hacked info on Russia on their website, so why would Russia willingly work with an organization who itself has hacked them? That doesn't make any sense. Unless it's a "strange bedfellows" situation to undermine US power. But is Trump really undermining US power? He's said he wants to be more diplomatic with Russia, maybe dismantle NATO....but that's easier said than done. Maybe there's something shady going on behind closed doors between him and Putin, but it remains to be seen.

 

The next thing is how this hacked information could've influenced the election. Do the Rust Belt voters look like the kind of people who pour over news articles every night? I'm not trying to be patronizing to them, I'm just saying I don't feel like the Rust Belt voted for Trump because of "fake news" about Hillary/the DNC. I think they voted for him because he actively campaigned there and pandered to their interests. Hillary wasn't campaigning nearly as hard in those states as Trump....is that also to be blamed on the Russians?

 

If a bombshell comes out that Trump himself is directly in cahoots with the Russians and that they directly sabotaged something, I'm ready and willing to read it and believe it. But so far I just haven't seen that. Russians tinkering around with fake news and email accounts, alright, it's worrisome and makes our own cyber security look pretty poor by comparison, but did it swing the election? I don't think so.

I agree….you just say it so much better than me!

 

Also….can they tell us what the "fake news" russia put out? Whatever it is I am 100% confident it pales in comparison to the fake news put out by the likes of the washington post, salon, huffington post, vox, msnbc etc.  

 

Another thing that seems hypocritical is that many are so upset that russia may have mettled in our election. It seems to me that the US government not only mettles in other foreign nations elections, but often times we go in and kill their leader. Talk about meddling!
