I am white I get treated differently, every race get treated differently here.  I can't win an award at the BET award shoes, I can't be hired equally for the US post office, they hire based on a quota system, I can't be accepted to become texas game warden they hire on a quota system, school accept students based on quotas systems.  I have always thought it should be based on best candidate.

It's problematic, especially in a country like the US with such a high level of diversity. I don't think racially profiling people in the US would be productive because, in big cities they'd end up stopping nearly every other person.

 

Russia isn't as diverse as the US so maybe it sort of makes more sense here, but in more multi-cultural places like New York, it would seem like looking for a needle in a haystack with such a high level of people of all races and nationalities from all over the globe. And of course, even if you did actually end up stopping a person from a Muslim/T-country, again the odds of them actually being a terrorist are insanely low in a big city like New York. Apart from the issue of racism and targeting minority groups, it just simply would be a huge time waster in most cases.

I was planning my escape if Hillary would of been elected, I would of been gone in a few years.  Now with Trump taking over I am going to stay for a while and enjoy the ride.

Also, being mad because you don't win a BET award? I didn't know Slim Shady posted on these boards (I know he was nominated for a butt-ton of those things but just wasn't good enough to oust his competition - keep trying though honey!). Macklemore didn't do half bad at that award show though and more white people were nominated (and quite a few won) at those awards in 2015 than ever before.

Well it's just that you said specifically that you cannot win the BET awards show if you are white.

If you've never heard of those white individuals, that's a real shame. But they go on a list of individuals who are both white and get nominated/and or win every single year at BET.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won for best group 2013, in addition to many nominations.

Eminem as I said has not won yet, but has been nominated at BET over the years many times, in addition to a plethora of other white artists, you can google them all if you'd like. They also often perform.

 

I don't think we should also forget Sam Smith, who won the BET award for Best Artist of 2015. http://www.bet.com/news/music/2015/06/28/sam-smith-bet-awards-best-new-artist.html Sam also won an NAACP award!

 

PS: Actually Eminem has won at the BET Hip-Hop  (there are two award show divisions) specially.
