Hi guys ,

I am writing just in case if someone finds it useful. My husband had interview last week December 6 and was put for admin processing because he did not have a right police report. How such thing could happen without NVC not noticing it, I don't know. Anyway, he submitted the report through email on Monday December 12 and today December 13 the visa was issued.

So, don't worry if you are out for admin processing as it looks like once the requested info is submitted, they are quite proactive to proceed with the case. It is not like NVC where it takes at least 6 weeks to look at a submitted document.

Good luck everyone on your journey!

My husband got a nee police report in October, which was sent to NVC in the IV package. Does he need to get a new one for the interview? Interview will be in the Dominican Republic.

Congratulation.

Yes! I have the passport and the big sealed package. It's huge! Very heavy. They have taped and stapled the edges but it has still got a small tear in one corner.

I did notice I have a 221g annotation on my visa for my vaccines.

Thats great. We are still waiting for the email.

It's a slim chance like slim slim slim BUT do what I did...once they set your interview wait till your case arrives at the embassy and email them ASAP! Asking them for a January interview ask them nicely and keep emailing everyday literally until they do it. My hubby had a January 10 interview and today they changed it to December 22 bc I kept insisting and they kept saying my case isn't in office yet so I kept emailing and walla! Do it

My husband's case was just complete today! Does anyone know how long it takes for an interview? The NVC employee told me it just depends on what Ciudad Juarez has open and how many people are ahead of me. However, I see people get appointments around the last two weeks of the month. Does anyone know which is more true?

Both are true. It depends how many people are waiting for interviews in Juarez and they also schedule the appointments at the end of one month and the beginning of the next. So at the end of December/beginning of January they will set the February appointments. Depending on how many people are waiting in Juarez he might get one or he might have to wait for the next round of appointments scheduled at the end of January/beginning of February.

My husband got a nee police report in October, which was sent to NVC in the IV package. Does he need to get a new one for the interview? Interview will be in the Dominican Republic.

What was the date on the one he sent to NVC? If it is more than one year before his interview he needs another one. So if his interview is January 3, 2017 the police certificate must be dated January 4, 2016 or earlier.

The police report is from October 2016. I guess he doesn't need a new one.
