Hello, I'm about to file for AOS and was wondering if you guys used a regular copy of the marriage certificate or if you had a certified one? Thank you

Send a photocopy. Retain the original certified copy in case of interview.

hey guys, I am getting a bit nervous here. I filed I-130 for my dad and I-130+ I-485 for my mom, she in currently in USA. Mailed out both on the same day, 11.23.2016 though to different lock boxes as per USCIS mailing instructions. Both of the packages were delivered. Only check for my dad's package was cleared, and I received NOA1 about a week later. So far haven't heard anything about mom's package and quite honestly starting panicking here. Never had to wait for simple acceptance notification THAT long... super worried (((((

I've been doing almost exactly the same. Netflix has been a very good friend to me at times haha. I think my wife has Assassins Creed and COD, so they may pass a few days

I'm playing Dark Souls II and III. Trying some new builds lol

I used a regular copy of the certified copy, it should be enough.

Not yet, but my spouse has passed his DATA course, and is studying to go for the learner's permit test next week. Be sure to do your DATA course if it's required.

I will look into that. So youre in Florida as well? Do they require DATA course? Thank you.

You can try but I doubt social security administration will take the noa1 as a real document for your name change. They usually need a government issued ID with the new name to change it, being the ead card or green card, whichever comes first

Ok thanks. I also have a doubt. Just want to know if anybody had done that coz we dont want to waste time going there for no result.

Guys I have a question; if uscis deems necessary to ask for more evidence, would they send an RFE before or after they send the biometrics letter/appointment?

After people get the BIOmetric letter early on...

RFE come in after they begin working on the file.

from what I have been seeing.

Again, sorry it didn't work and thanks for sharing. I asked cause some seem to have had more success later in the day, but this seems to have not been even a consideration in your case. I did have a medical reason, so I can't say if it would have worked for me if I didn't either. Some are just stricter, partially due to how busy they are I assume.

At least it's only a week away, and you'll have it done soon.
