Sorry this might sound dumb but how where able to find their number? Just googled it? Is there a specific website that you type in and then search for the congressman? I'm sorry I really don't have any clue!

You can find them here:

https://www.govtrack.us/congress/members/KS

You can select the map to find out your district, then select your congressperson, or you can contact either senator. Senators represent the whole state.

Damnit... RFIE showed up today for name discrepancies on I-765. They have all the documents they are asking for already. I can only assume they lost one of them. :(  No change of status on the web site and we had put an inquiry in last night and got a response early this morning saying our case was under review. WTH!

That sucks... i had my biometrics on January 6 and after that we got RFIE for the affidavit of support... they updated status on January 17 saying they got the response and from then.... nothing, now i am patiently waiting for the ead :(

Virginia Driver license update

Not sure if there is any Virginia resident in this forum but just in case, we went to a Virginia DMV this morning with the following documents:

- EAD + AP combo card along with I-765 and I-131 approval letters

- Unexpired Canadian passport with expired I-94 stamp

- Canadian driver license.

- Utility bill

- SSN

I thought these are sufficient but apparently they also need a NOA1 letter for I-485

"Official letter from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) indicating one of the following:
that the applicant's petition for adjustment of status to permanent residency has been reopened and restored to a pending status"

Will try again tomorrow with the NOA1 letter.

Update on expedite request. I applied through congressman on Friday. I received a reply today saying that I do not meet the requirements to expedite. This was after claiming financial hardship and writing a description letter along with sending my job offer letter. This sucks. I guess we will just have to wait a few more weeks.

Do you think submitting an inquiry helps to prevent more delays or just makes it worse? I am doubting now x.x Hope everything gets better for you :)

No I really don't know the process that well but the EAD and AP still say case received. So I don't know what all this means.

The AP/EAD combo card will show "received" while it is in processing.  It means they have received your application and it will change when card is produced and mailed out.

^^^ is separate from the I-485 which as you state now shows "ready to schedule interview".  You sent 3 different applications.  They are processed separately.

Your welcome.  Upon successful interview you will receive green card.  The AP/EAD combo card can be used in the meantime.

Thank you!. I think it helps to remind them about your case but I don't think an inquiry helps one way or another unless a lot of time is overdue.
