Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if it's necessary to send pictures of me and my husband as a couple in the AOS package (with family, our wedding, etc). We live with my in-laws so we don't have a lease on our names or any other bills, only a joint bank account to prove co-mingling and address. We consulted an attorney and she said we don't need to include any pictures and that they will only be necessary until we go to the interview. (I'm adjusting from tourist visa, btw).

Did you include pictures in your package? Is it ok if we don't include any?

Thanks.

I didn't include a single one. Got my GC in 3 months. :)

By way of example: Notarized/unnotarized letters from friends or relatives is considered secondary evidence at best for the K1 process and are not even listed in the VJ Guide for K1/K3 AOS: http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos . FYI, pictures are not listed either.... Not sure if this is applicable to your particular immigration situation, your timeline is vacant.

Thank you both. I haven't filled in my TL because I haven't completed the package yet, I'm still gathering all the evidence I can get, but I will make sure to fill it in and keep it updated as soon as I send the documents. :)

Pictures are not primary evidence (read: useless) but they could help if your other evidence is scarce.

The fact that you live with your in-laws is punishment, err proof, enough that your marriage is legit.

Don't worry. You'll be a legal permanent resident shortly. Just plan for an exit strategy out of the in-laws' household.

Good luck.

Didn't include any...and approved recently. We presented all evidence at the interview.
