One on the members on here was happy when husband in Morocco passed interview and was told visa was approved

Now, she received a notice saying it is revoked

my understanding of the 2011 rule a revoked visa can no longer be reversed

But can she reapply?

i don't know the reasons for the revocation as she does not yet have the letter telling her and i understand from reading they don't have to let her know .i know she would have to address them but can she even think to reapply?

Thanks in advance for any advice

I feel for anyone going thru this process and having your life on hold

i just am happy now and want all others happy / maybe i am too easy

We are hoping for her sake it is that easy to fix as his criminal investigations are clean and medical was good

but so many in morocco have the same name (first and last)

they talk every day so we know he didn't get into issues with police after the reports were done

just don't know how to help her as this is the frist time i have run into a revoked visa problem

and she is in tears this evening

What I am assuming is that someone might have contacted the embassy after his visa was issued and provided them with some sensitive information about him, it might be false information, or true. However, it lead the visa to be revoked.

The immigration process caused me PTSD.

I told her that as (not trying to offend anyone) but i have been told many times by Moroccans that they are jealous and wiill try to ruin things for others

that is why my husband did not tell anyone he was approved till he actually left Morocco and another friend has visited Fance and now will visit London and still his friends do not know he got the tourist visas

she told me a sister in law is very jealous and was upset when he got the visa

a hard country with poor people

it is more than a denial

2011

This is from Murphy Law Site

American consular officials will have broad discretion to revoke both immigrant and nonimmigrant visas under a new rule issued by the U.S. Department of State (State Department or DOS) on April 27, 2011. The new rule took effect on the date of its publication in the Federal Register. (See Final Rule: Visas: Documentation of Nonimmigrants Under the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended, U.S. Department of State, 76 Fed. Reg. 23477, 27.Apr.2011.)

The new rule further notes that reconsideration of revocations will no longer be allowed

A denial can be appealed or USC can reapply / a revotaion can not be appealed / they are not the same

so a revokation can not be appealed / i told her that

but we wonder, as i asked, can she reapply??? or is revokation, like some say, a lifetime ban????

just read that post on revocation and learned something new

will be interested to know if anyone can answer your question

when i google the question, it does say a revocation can have a lifetime ban but not always

so, to add to this dilemna "What does a person do if visa is revoked by embassy?"

It is possible that this is what is called a "provisional revocation" -- if so, it is an indication that the visa officer decided the case needed to be looked at again and they wanted to do so before the person had a chance to travel. You need to find out if that's what it is -- if it is and the review finds that the individual is, in fact, qualified for the visa, it will be issued without another application.

If it is a final revocation, you still need to find out why before re-applying. The revocation in and of itself is not an inelibility (a ban), but the underlying reason for the revocation may be. Applying again without knowing the reason, and addressing it as well sa you cann, will likely not be successful.
