Yes, I will do the same. I guess that'll be the case for all of us. We will all be able to apply for citizenship before we get our extended GC. Naturalization is at 7 and a half months from what I've seen. So yeah sometime in July 2018, this immigration process will finally be over.

 

I have heard you can apply for naturalization only online. No need to send anything via postal service. Anybody has experience with that?

I have heard. I am seeing my lawyer next month, we will do old fashioned way

Received date, 7/5/16. NOA 7/16/16. Biometrics about a month later.

 

Two days ago I went into my local office for an Infopass... after waiting and waiting and waiting for my turn, the lady looked at my paperwork, told me to go sit back down in the waiting area, I waited and waited and waited some more, and she finally got back to me with a stamped passport, good until July 2018.

 

Crossing my fingers for a speedy process for all of us!

 

I also plan on filing N400 as soon as I hit my three years, regardless of I-751 approval.

Welcome! I have added you to the CSC waitlist. haha. Also, you don't have to wait til you hit your 3 year anniversary date to file N-400. Your early filing window opens 90 days before that. :)

Isn't your case outside of normal processing? if that's the case you could fill out that "Case outside of Normal processing time"  USCIS online inquiry form. Regards

Nope. They just "updated" their processing dates and the official date they're working on is June 9. One day too early for @MaleAlpha to file a service request.

Hello Everybody!
USCIS recieved my I-751 on July 25th 2016 and I went and got my biometrics done on October 13th 2016.

I haven't heard anything else from them since, and I am aware that processing times are extremely slow these days. 

My one-year extension expires on August 25th, and I had a family emergency and have to go home in September. I can't go earlier and I can't afford a re-entry permit. 
Does any of you have any advice or know if there is a way to do this? 

 

I'm stressing over having to buy a plane ticket and not get my new GC on time before leaving :help:
