Congratulations to all those who have completed the process and all the very best to those still waiting - hang in there!

I had my interview last week - it was very straightforward and we were told at the interview that our case was approved. It lasted about 40 minutes but could have been shorter if they hadn't been experiencing technical difficulties on the day! Our officer was impressed about how quickly the case was processed. One thing we were told was that me being from the UK probably helped because the USA & UK have good communication and typically speedy sharing of information. Other countries might take longer to share records and/or need to be translated. Don't know if there are any other Brits on here who would agree with this? Obviously there are lots of other issues which might hold up cases, fortunately I think ours was pretty simple.

Thank you for the support and company along this journey folks - I wish you all every happiness!

Hello , i noticed you got a RFE on 1 485 for initial evidence , i received the same notice on the web for my i 485 but i haven't receive the hard copies for 12 days now to know what they need , can you kindly tell me like what documents they needed in your case ?

I got same exact thing - it looks like Northeast states have longest waiting periods for interviews according to other people timelines.

And I just received my EAD card yesterday. 106th day since sending AOS.

Hi! We hadn't filled in one box on the I-864 form - really annoying! We sent a new I-864 form in along with the evidence we had previously sent in before, just to be on the safe side. I was worrying what it might whilst we waited for the hardcopy to come in the mail - I hope you get yours soon so you know what to do! From what I've heard most RFEs for I-485 are related to the affidavit of support.

I said this before earlier in the thread... Don't worry about those processing times they post. They're not true!

I know someone that filed in Mid June. Got EAD/AP approved at end of August and green card approved (without interview) at the end of September... This was at the New York office.

Most people don't look at processing times because they're wildly wrong. Unfortunately, sometimes people who file after you will get approved before you, it happens. It really is just a waiting game. I know, I'm in the same boat. I just want everything settled and done for a few years haha!

Anyway, this is just a reply to try set your minds at rest. It will happen, don't worry. Just don't look at the processing times :)

Same wait here. I am also in NYC (Queens). Filed AOS from K-1 early July, with a one week interruption due to a RFIE in August. No interview scheduled yet. Sometimes I wish USCIS would give early on realistic indications on how long the wait is. It would be better to manage expectations and organize one's life accordingly. Waiting weights.

Hey September filer who was just lurking around, seeing how all you earlier filers were doing.

I think in some cases, when you are approved sans interview, it's because your case never went to the field office and instead stayed at the national office. I mean, that's my understanding from reading posts from previous months and people's experiences.

I have a friend who filed last year for AOS (I think June or July 2015), NYC-based, and he only got his interview and approval a few months ago, this year!! So it took him a good year in NYC. We have a lot of applications, the most out of the country (for family-based applications, at the very least) so no wonder NYC just takes a while to work on things!!

Hey guys! Don't worry, it's on it's way.

My EAD/AP got approved on 13 October. The case updated on 27 October to "Card Was Mailed To Me" (exactly two weeks to the day it was approved) and then I received my card in the post yesterday (31 October). So it takes around 2-2 and a half weeks from approval to being in your hand.

These waits do suck and are frustrating I know :clock:

My EAD status is stuck at Card is being produced since the day of the biometrics appointment on the 27th of October.... I'm very disappointed I thought it'd move fast considering that my biometrics took forever to be scheduled :(
