Ok so i have an american and Spanish citizenship. I lived in morocco as a child and became good friends with a girl. Recently, i reached out to her and we started talking. I am going to go visit her again soon, and have thought of marrying her. i cant really afford to take to much time off from work to continuously keep visiting her. I would like to bring her back to the united states with me, but i dont know what is the best way to do this. I have looked into the paperwork for the USCIS paperwork and see i have to fill out a form. DO I FILL THIS i-129f BEFORE I GO VISIT HER OR AFTER I COME BACK (since she may not accept my proposal). I want to know though, what is the better way to do this. Marry her while i go visit in morocco or go visit and propose return to the U.S. and apply for a visa and bring her here and marry. Money is tight since like said i will be going to visit for 2 maybe 3 months so thats 2/3 months of no work. i dont want to be cheap about it but i would prefer one wedding. If someone could just give me the best advice about how to go about this and to what they think is the better way if she accepts my proposal to get her to come back with me.

Are you Muslim? The reason I'm asking is because I believe it is NOT possible for a non-Muslim man to marry a Muslim woman in Morocco. So if you are not Muslim, then you have to either file for a K-1 visa & get married in the US or you both have to travel to a third country to legally marry and then file for a spousal visa.

i am muslim, i was born catholic but converted. its actually something she was happy to know when we started talking long ago. It was an issue her family even asked about until i told them i was as well. So what now? Do i have to marry her their and then come to the u.s. and file for a visa for her or can i just go their and propose and celebrate with her family and then come back and have a wedding here. id like my family to also experience it too. They cannot all travel. Which is better? Also, not trying to be cheap but id like to if possible not pay for 2 weddings.

You can compare the different visas here:

Disregard K-3 as it is obsolete.
