What vaccinations are needed?

Hi.

I was just wondering which vaccinations I need. We are going the Direct Counselor Processing route in Germany. I am just wondering so i can get them done (for free) before I go because i don't have any at all and don't want it to be expensive for me.

I have already checked the website and it says that it differs depending on your gender, age, and medical background so not to go get all the shots before your medical as you won't know which ones you actually need.

Check your vaccines history and see how long it has been since you that the DTP (Diphteria/Tetanus/Poliomyelitis) vaccine. They will most likely boost that one up if it has been longer than 10 years for you, so you can get that one on hand.

For example: I was completely up to date and I only boosted DTP before going for my medical exam.

You need MMR and tetanus/diphtheria.

Do you mean you didn't get any vaccinations as a child or you just don't have the vaccination records to prove it?

Hi. Thanks for answering. I mean I got everything done as a child but havent had anything for about 15 years now (needle phobia) . So I'm over due for everything.

Most vaccinations are given only once (or in several doses like Hep B) and are not meant to be repeated. You can look up the vaccination requirements on US embassy website pertaining to your country. If you have records of the vaccinations you were given, you don't need to take those again. If you have no record of any vaccination, then you will need to take only the ones applicable to your age.
