Getting married in fiance's country

My fiance' lives in Kosavo, but has lived in various other countries as well, I was born a US citizen now living in SC, we planned for me to fly to.Kosavo,get married there then have him apply for a travel visa and join me is the us where he would apply for work green card is this the easiest way or will this make it a more difficult process?

Your 2 choices are to get married in Kosovo like you are planning and then file for a CR-1 visa for your now finace, would be husband to move to the US. This will take approximately 1 year and he would be a permanent resident as soon as he arrives. A tourist (travel) visa will not work.

The other choice is for you to file for a K-1 visa for him to come to the U.S. to marry you here. This usually takes about 6 months. He would then have to file to become a permanent resident (AOS) after marriage, which can take several months. If he would need to work or to leave the U.S. before he receives his GC, he would also need to apply for an Employment Authorization and/or Advance Parole along with his AOS. This usually is completed within 90 days but he could not work or leave the U.S. until it is approved.

In the end, it is about the same amount of time to get the GC/work authorization but the K-1 allows you to be together sooner (in the US).

you probably don't know that what you have planned is immigration fraud, getting a tourist visa with the intent to immigrate is immigration fraud, so the only options you have are listed above

or get married in his country and file for CR1, or bring him to the US with a K1 visa

It is a common misconception that one can simply travel to the U.S. on a tourist visa and then apply for a green card. Although this would minimize apart time, it is also fraud.

To obtain a tourist visa your fiance would have to demonstrate that he intends to return to Kosovo. If, say, he does this when in fact he does not intend to return...this is where the fraud comes in. He has lied to obtain a non-immigrant visa, like a tourist visa, to immigrate to the U.S with his U.S. citizen wife.

You may marry wherever you like, begin the Cr1 spousal visa process as soon as you have all the documents.
