Agendas and motives are only important when they fit the majority's narrative. The Charleston shooter made it be know what his motive was, but refresh my memory, I don't recall anyone saying we should remove white people from the country. Nor did we say let's go after white supremacy groups. They went after the confederate flag, which only made it more popular in the long run. The PP shooter made it clear what he was killing for, but nothing was done about his using the bible to target abortionists. Sandy Hook was all about killing children and the teachers who got in the way, but we didn't ban weapons did we?

Just a short time ago the Muslim community of Orlando gave this man a platform to spread his hate upon gay folks. Did the killer get inspired by this leader of the Islamic faith . For years he had written articles on killing gay folks . ... Just happens to be invited to speak and preach his hate . .... Did this mass killer attend his lecture and follow his teachings. .

The Husseini Islamic Center, 5211 Hester Ave, Sanford, FL 32773, invited Sheikh Farrokh Sekaleshfar to speak at their Mosque. Dr. Sekaleshfar says the killing of homosexuals is the compassionate thing to do.

In a 2013 speech Sheikh Sekaleshfar said this regarding gays, “Death is the sentence. We know there’s nothing to be embarrassed about this, death is the sentence...We have to have that compassion for people, with homosexuals, it's the same, out of compassion, let’s get rid of them now.”

When Sheikh Sekaleshfar calls for the death of all homosexuals based on the tenets of Islam it can not be ignored, he is an expert on Shariah Islamiyya or Islamic Law.

Islamic Law also mandates a death sentence for blasphemers and apostates, does Sheikh Sekaleshfar and the Husseini Islamic Center Mosque advocate those legal rulings as well?

why does it have to be one or the other? the potential for radicalization within islam is of course there, but it takes an individual to hone that potential into a radical act. what i can't stand is how talk of islam as the main evil deflects from the guilt of the person who carried out the act.

personally, i don't know. that's why i'm not religious. but millions of people successfully divorce the two everyday, i don't think those same millions are at immediate risk of succumbing to the evil parts of their religion.
