HI

I'm Pakistani national working here in RIyadh for last 8 years and going to apply for B2 visa for myself only just to attend the house warming ceremony of my sister and brother in law in USA. Although I'm married with 3 kids but want to apply alone because my kids are enrolled in school and can't take holidays. My brother in law is going to send me the invitation, affidavit of support, pictures of house and contract under his name. My questions are:

1 - Is this wise to apply alone while having family here?

2 - My trip would be 4 weeks only so is there any specific amount I have to show in my bank statement and for how many period? or affidavit of support provided by my brother in law would be enough?

3 - Since I never visit any other country except Saudi Arabia and my intention is pure to visit the USA and comeback, so the job certificate is enough to proof or should I show something else? (my wife and kids will stay here in Saudi Arabia in my absence and since they are on my dependent visa which is enough to proof my intention that I will be back ....I guess)

Please guide me if something is missing .. I don't want be get rejected from them.

Thanks,

You can't get a sponsor for a B2 you have to do it yourself.

No one can say for sure that you will or will not be issued a visit visa. You need to have compelling reasons why you will return to SA. Having your family there certainly helps.

An unusual reason for a month in the US.

Show your own funds.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

You must have at least $5k to blow for a holiday like that. With a wife and 4 children you are obviously not short of cash.

Is it reasonable if I show $10K - 12K?

If you have that much why did you think you would need an affidavit of support from your brother-in-law (which you don't, by the way)?

He said to me to provide the affidavit of support. Because even in my mother's case he provided the same.

there is no such thing as an affidavit of support or an invitation letter for a b2 visa. Period. End of story. You must apply and be approved on your own merits and your merits alone. He couldn't have provided an affidavit of support for your mother because it is not an option, nor has it ever been. You will need to provide proof of strong ties to home and the ability to fund your OWN trip. And as an fyi, a sudden large deposit into your account will prove suspicious, you need to be able to show a history of the money in your account. CO officers know all of the tricks and are not naive.

My fiancé lives in Saudi, for a visit visa the main concern is making sure you have strong ties to Saudi. Leaving your wife and kids would probably benefit you in showing that you do in fact plan on returning, also having a job for a long period of time, owning a house, or things of that sort. My fiancé was denied his visa simply because she said that he had not been with his company long enough, and he needed to be there at least 5 years.

Unfortunately my fiancé says getting a visa for visiting or tourism to the USA is very difficult to do in Saudi.

If I say that my family is here and I want to visit alone, would they required any proof about my family staying here with me. Like copy of resident permit or passport, if yes, do I required to have them translate in English since they are in Arabic? Please advise
