Yeah like someone mentioned in the beginning of the thread, for being someone who says he's shy he doesn't have any issues sharing intimate details.

Hi. I thought the sexual stuff was relevant otherwise I would not have included it.

He did say this, and without the full story it can be difficult to sensibly comment.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

One really needs to know their prospective wife or husband before you pull the trigger. You indicated there was red flags you chose to ignore so hard to say what happened was exactly surprising.

Viet women are no different to women in general and if it's love you sure will know it from the woman and hopefully it's shown equally back.

Divorce and move on. Chalk this up to an expensive life lesson on choosing poorly.

Sometimes even if a GC has been issued the marriage can be considered as fraudulent if you get divorced right after she arrived in the US (This happened to someone I know). If I were you, I would contact a lawyer first before taking any further steps.

Was it fraud or not should be the last of your concerns.

Wrong answer! It should be the concern of all U.S. citizens and the poor soul that was defrauded in marriage. Seems that you are missing four large points here:

1. He can't get re-married until this one is legally extinguished.

2. He will likely have problems with getting another visa (if he marries foreigner) in the near future.

3. Getting her served with papers may be impossible. This will create massive delays in the legal process. Maybe an annulment is possible, based on fraud.

4. Fraudulent marriages makes it more difficult for legitimate visa-seekers (like me and others).

And yes, I did go to law school. You - probably not.

Just a thought but, did she use any of your home computers to access email or Facebook at any point? If the passwords happen to be saved and you can print out any conversations proving fraud you might just stumble upon the golden ticket to getting out of the AOS. Of course you'll have to translate them but it's worth a shot. If you don't know how to find out Google will make it simple. I have lost more then one password before only to find out its stores somewhere.

Wonderful. What state are you licensed in? Are you a member of AILA? Or are you a family law attorney?

I've posted numerous times that he should speak with a family law attorney licensed in his state about divorce. Annulment v. divorce and service is all state dependent.

If he is super concerned about getting remarried and bringing over another immigrant spouse who speaks "bad English" (but they communicate through Viper!)...buyer beware.

Can someone pm me the original post? I came into the thread edited. Op, what is the age difference, just curious. My opinion, maybe unfounded, is that she used you to come to the USA. It was all well planned. Which makes me think that I don't think you will have to worry about the affidavit of support. Her relatives probably already have a plan in place to support her. They will probably not have any contact with you. I am wondering if there was any intimate contact during the course of the relationship prior to arrival? I would follow the advice of the posters that suggested getting a lawyer. I would find the best one I could afford. 14 days in the USA should not be considered a marriage and you would think you could get out of it

Sorry I didn't read the TOS rules before I posted. Thank you for all the opinions and advice.

The OP has been given the advice that can be meaningfully given. On this basis, and the confusion surrounding the necessary editing of the original post, this thread is closed to further comment. The OP may start a new thread later, if significant events warrant it.
