I figured your case is moving extremely quick. When is you interview? How did you get expedite on your EAD?

Seems like you got your EAD too! Congrats!!!

I called them to expedite, but it actually didn't help at all. My interview is not scheduled yet...I'm not in a rush. Work authorization is more important for me.

Hearing from you guys about how terrible talked to the representatives, I've decided to send them e-service ( www.uscis.gov/e-request ) instead ? My I765 already passed day 75 so let's see if this kind of request will help speed up on anything.

03/15/16. Sent out I-130 and AOS package but instead of filing it concurrently, I misunderstood and filed it separately.

03/23/16. Phoenix lockbox transferred our case (I-130 only) to Nebraska, cashed check, received NOA via text/email.

03/28/16. Received NOA1 I-130 hard copy by USPS

04/08/16. Received the package that we sent to Chicago. Case rejected due to improper filing? We sent it back to Chicago together with I-130 NOA 1 that we received last week (also RFE just in case too) sameday.

04/11/16. Package I-485, I-765 arrived at Chicago lockbox the second time.

04/19/16. Received NOA1 for I-485&I-765 via Text&email with new case number. They also cashed the check today.

05/02/16. Received Biometric letter, scheduled on May 9

05/09/16. Biometric completed

05/25/16. I-485 Case updated online, case is ready to be scheduled

06/29/16. I-130 Case updated online, case was transferred..

06/30/16. Submit USCIS E-request to update/expedite I-765

07/11/16. Received EAD By mail

09/09/16. Interview date is scheduled on Oct 14

10/14/16. Approved, status changed to New card is in production

10/15/16. Status online for I-130 & I-485 updated to Case was approved

10/20/16. Status online for I-485 updated to Card was picked up by USPS with tracking number.

10/21/16. Received NOA2 for I-130 & I-485

10/22/16. Received the card from USPS ?

I called them earlier today and was able to talk to a helpful representative.

I submitted a service request for approaching regulatory time frame for my EAD which is passed 75 days.

He asked me if I want to do it today or after the 90 day period because if I do it today I won't be able to submit another one in the next 30 days

He also explained that it might be because of the background check that other agencies take time to reply.

So, yeah hopefully it works.

April 13, 2016 – AOS, EAD & AP sent (Day 1)

April 15, 2016 – Received date on the NOA1 (Day 2)

April 22, 2016 – Received SMS & E-mail Notification (Day 9)

April 25, 2016 – Received Hard Copy of NOA1 (Day 12)

May 2, 2016 – Received Biometric Appointment (Day 19)

May 13, 2016 – Biometric Schedule (Day 30)

May 30, 2016 – Updated I-485 to “Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for Interview” (Day 47)

June 29, 2016 - Submitted Service Request (Day 76)

July 13, 2016 - EAD & AP approved (Day 89)

Hi guys, first off, congratulations for those who now got their EAD and GC's! Here on my end, wishing that some news would come regarding my EAD & GC. No update since I placed a service request and no return call (like today is the 3rd day since I placed a return call note). I'm on my 85th day. Everything is stand still from "Fingerprint Fee Received" and "Case Received". While waiting, has anyone tried to send out job applications and accept interviews? Is this alright to do while waiting for EAD (like not on hand). Appreciate advice if it is good or fine to start applying while waiting for the EAD and GC. Thanks so much. :)

Sure you can send out your resume and have interviews. If they like you, they might wait for you to get the ead.

I'm in the position as you day 81... for me I-485 stuck on fingerprint fee recieved tier 2 says it's currently being processed at NBC... As for my EAD I submitted a service request yesterday on day 80 but I'm not expecting anything to come from it cause tier 2 stated my background check is still pending and the EAD cannot be approved until the background check clears but the check won't effect myI-485 progression even tho no updates since fingerprint fee recieved

You can still go ahead and apply for job. It will take you 2-3 weeks to finally land a job anyway, so no harm trying. If the company likes you, you can tell them you are waiting for the EAD.

If they get you an official job offer, you can send that in as an evidence for expedite.

Hi All,

Congrats to all the recent approvals. So its Day 2 after Service Request being submitted and no updates on our case as yet. We are still getting validation errors, when checking the case status online.

Will keep you guys updated if we see any progress. Once again congrats to the new approvals and best of luck for the ones waiting.

God bless.

Kind regards,

ConiMoni

Yes, definitely apply! It's a great idea. And hang in there -- I thought my EAD would never come, but it did on day 94!! Sometimes it *does* take the full 90 days, give or take.

We were always very caution for applying for EAD, a lot of jobs ask "Are you currently able to legally work in the US?" in which the answer would TECHNICALLY be no. So we figured we would just wait to apply for things. Today though my husbands GC was mailed out, so he's going to be updating his resume and I hope that we can find a job that works out!

My daughter is special needs so one of us has to be home with her while the other is at work, so it makes finding a job around certain hours a bit challenging but I'm sure we can figure it out!

Good luck to ya'll, I'll be watching the thread as I've done for K-1 and everything else!

So update:

Tier 2 just called me back (9 pm), he said they have offices in the West coast and East coast so you can get a call back late night.

I asked about my EAD and he said that unfortunately they were delayed and EADs were taking anywhere from 90 to 120 days to get approved. :crying:

He offered to put a service request on my case, but then noticed that I had done it online already (on June 24th). He mentioned that I should get an answer on my service request by July 9th (day 95). If I don't hear anything by July 9th or if I don't feel that their answer was satisfactory I can call back and put an expedite request on my case. But I must provide evidences on why my case should be expedite...

Anyways, we are back at the waiting game... he finish saying that I needed a bottle of wine to relax (I guess my anxiety is showing).

:clock: Good luck everyone.

Hi, I just past my 75 days. Can you tall me how can I ''service request'' online?

Hi all, received a notification this morning that my EAD card is being produced. I had filed a service request 8 days ago, but hard to know if it made much of a difference.

Now I have to buy a car for work, which I'm looking forward to even less than this whole process! Never know what you're getting...

Best of luck to everyone still waiting. Enjoy the time off while you can!

How did you request service request?

Did you clear your background check? If you haven't then that will be the delay since your EAD can't be approved until your cleared

HI.

How do you clear background?
