I filed April 15th and already had my biometrics appointment 3 weeks ago and my MSC case numbers aren't in the system yet I guess and I haven't heard anything

Any advice?

i would call and ask for a tier 2 to get status update... although tier 2 asks for your reciept number they probably wont find it cause its not working but they should be able to locate your case via other information like your name address A number and so on.... Tier 2's can see more detailed information on your case than what the customer service you talk to when you first call... if they successfully look up your case they will be able to tell you what stage its currently at

Finally caved and called the USCIS. I didn't get any new info on either of my applications but a service request was put in for my EAD as it has been more than 75 days. According to the officer I should hear back within 15 days, hopefully he's right. In regards to my GC I can't put in a service request until July 17 based off of the dates on my case.

I'm so happy I used delivery confirmation on the RFE response because I know it has been delivered however I just wanted to make sure my case is not sitting in some pile which I also made him aware of lol

So I don't really know more than I did 30 minutes ago but at least now I know they'll look into my EAD application :)

...And "just" like that my case status for my EAD was magically updated to "card being produced" haha I guess it was just sitting in a pile. I'll definitely be submitting a service request if I haven't heard anything in regards to my GC by July 17 as stated by the officer. Seems like it works!

Yay!:)

Day 61 for us since NOA.. No updates as yet apart from the biometric on May 10.. Even the Online case status does not work for us as we are always getting validation errors.. I really wish we could get some form of visibility for our applications..We are hopeful that we might receive some form of good news in the next 2 weeks as we reach our 75 day mark.. If no news by day 75, i guess we will have to put in a service request to inquire about the status...

Will wait for fellow visajourney members to chime in their thoughts on this blind yet patient hope of this process..

I'm still waiting for my biometrics letter, I hope I'll get the letter next week. Maybe we'll have the same date!

I hear you, I don't know anyone around here and it can get pretty lonely sometimes...

Hi MarieDino - what is your local USCIS office? My biometrics was at Holtsville but I don't see it on the list for Field offices. I'm trying to check the processing times. Have you heard anything?

Hey Angela,

I was about to send you a message. I did my biometrics at the Holtsville USCIS office almost 3 weeks ago... No news, no update, and my case status still says "Not recognized"..... I see that you case is ready for interview, that's awesome!!!! Idk what's taking so long with my case...

Concerning the processing times, I am not able to find it for that office on the VJ website - the closest that I can find is NYC.

I did find on the USCIS website the processing time for "Long Island NY Office"

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processingTimesDisplay.do;jsessionid=abcuslKeaM4SVgDhp3mvv

I really hope that it is not Holtsville (or not true!!), because as of March 31, 2016, they were processing I-485 cases as of date July 12, 2015  !!!

If you haven't heard anything by day 75 I would definitely recommend you calling the USCIS and submit a service request on your EAD. It helped my case!

My case numbers work but what good does it do if the officers don't update the cases on a regular basis / when there's something to update? I definitely agree with you, there SHOULD be more transparency in our cases, it's already a nerve wrecking process :/
