I think it would be a boost to the Dems overall, but there would still be plenty of LPR's who would vote Republican. Many Hispanics vote Republican for religious reasons and there are many LPR's here that are married to diehard Republicans and would more than likely vote in step with their spouses.

This so true...I remember reading comments from many "dreamers" and daca recipients who have said that they must encourage republican votes out of morality.

I know of one LPR that voted and then got his citizenship after. I guess Obama looks after those that voted for him ( I know more than one LPR that voted only one that definitely became a USC after and immigration knew he voted )

How do you explain the trailer park ghettos and poorly educated people in the Republican run southern red states? It's a fact that Republican run states tend to be poorer than Democratic run states over all.

One of my coworkers was Scottish living in Seattle and during the Scottish independence vote I asked him if he was able to vote absentee like folks in the Military. He was not able to vote in the Independence election because he lives in the states, despite being a native born Scotsman who lived there all his life. UK residents and EU residents who were living in Scotland did get to vote in the election. Residency in that case was everything, Citizen ship for the 800,000 Scots abroad was nothing.
