No you have to send in both. They have to see what you are translating. A Senator can't help. Don't you have the Birth Certificate make a copy and send to them.

I need some help. My husband has his interview scheduled in New Delhi for April 5. He has already completed the medical exam. Now we should be able to go online and make an appointment for the fingerprints (biometrics). I am looking through everything they've sent and links and cannot find a way to make the appointment, can someone help me look?

Thank you.

Why not what ever gives you peace of mind. I called NVC from start to finish no less than twice daily. Why wouldn't you call if you have a need to know.

Be sure to ask the right questions. Of course they ask how can I help you

  1. Have I been scheduled an interview yet?
  2. Has my embassy XXXX started scheduling slots for <your visa type - IR-1/CR-1, as an example> for April yet?
  3. Has my embassy XXXXX filled up all slots for <your visa type> for April and are they done scheduling for April?

I'd make questions 2 and 3 a little more specific...see above

Thank you, that was it, just didn't seem like it. We are all scheduled now, it's for the day before the Embassy Interview, hopefully that is fine because it didn't mention how long in advance of the embassy interview to schedule VAC/biometrics.

Do I need to wait for their cover sheet to send it in?? or I can send it straight in??

My huband had an argument with a represetative... right as he got on with the representative, she said "I have talked to y'all this morning, you don't need to call back anymore, just send the doc in." then my husband got mad cause she said it with an attitude.

I'm sorry to read about your checklist. I did not know you could have a checklist after a case complete. Did you get that NVC email saying they've "received all requested documentation" or not?

I hope you can get it resolved without much delay.

I just got an email from the Consulate detailing what we need to bring for Hubby's Interview. At the end of the email it says:

"All Immigrant Visa applicants are required to register with our CSC Call Centre contractor for the return of their documents flowing Immigrant Visa issuance. Once you have received a consular interview appointment date and time from the National Visa Centre (NVC), Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) or, from the Consular Section Immigrant Visa Unit in Dublin, please visit https://usvisa-info.com for information on registering for courier delivery to a DPD courier hub of your choice, at no extra cost, or to select home delivery. Individual registration is required for each immigrant visa applicant. Return of documents by regular mail is no longer possible, nor is it possible to collect your passport and supporting documents at the Embassy following visa issuance. Please enter your assigned interview date and time when prompted during registration. We will be unable to return your visa packet unless you have completed your registration."

I was going to contact the Embassy to see if it was possible to bump up Hubby's interview date to a sooner date once he completes his Medical next week (his Interview isn't until the 19th of April).

Has anyone else had to fill in this form before going to their interview? If I fill it in, and then we get a different interview date, does that mess stuff up because we registered with the original interview date?

Well, my package was delivered back to the consulate this AM. Hopefully it won't take them forever to put it in a new envelope...

Hey Hey!

I did receive an automated email with tracking info when it was shipped. I also received a Canada Post email with the tracking information. I paid the extra $20 to have it shipped directly to me (since I work from home).
