Okay called NVC just now to inquire about the error I made with my birth city, birth state and country. Lord I put I was born in Houston Texas, Nigeria. LOL And its Georgetown South Carolina, USA heh

hello VJ family well my case completed in Feb 19 and still no interview yet . and my wife goona deliver the baby in May 18 .and we requst early interview and they refuse it soo what should i do .reagarding to Egypt embbasy time farme .its 4 to 6 month for interview .pls help my wife due date is very soon . i wanna be there for my baby .what should i do .??.

Really sorry to hear. But you did what you could and request. Since it was denied there's nothing you really can do. You can try to contact your congressperson or Senator and see if they will intervene. But they really can;t make the embassy give you a date when you don;t have a life or death emergency. I understand you wan to be there for the birth but well it's not on the requirement criteria list of reasons to expedite.. hang in there.

12/24/2015 Petition Sent to NVC from Nebraska

1/4/2016 petition received at NVC (call and confirm it arrives. About 15 days try to get your case number and receipt number, I got mine in 11 days)

1/15/2016 Called NVC and got case/invoice number logged into this site to pay fees, pick agent -> https://ceac.state.gov/IV/Login.aspx 1/15/2016 picked agent DS-261

1/18/2016 paid aos fee

1/28/2016 review 261 to get iv fee unlocked ( unlocked once I did review,was taking to long)

2/1/ 2016 sent AOS & IV packets together to nvc while I waited for iv fee to open to save time.

2/4/2016 paid IV Fee and waited to do ds260

2/3/2016 nvc received aos and iv packets(scan date)

2/7/2016 ds260 completed and now waiting for cc

♧CASE COMPLETE. .. march 8th

3/11/15 interview email

4/20/15 shots 4/25/15 rest of medical exam

INTERVIEW APRIL 27TH @8:30

April 27th 221g for additional documentation and placed in administrative processsing.

June 20th submitted evidence requested

June 23rd case was touched by embassy

August 1st case was touched again.

AUGUST 16TH embassy called and wants a new co sponser yet he met requirements.

Found a new co-sponsor

Handed in aos sept 11th

Set 18th another update

Sept 28th update and embassy called

SEPT 29TH ISSUED FINALLY

OCT 2nd visa in hand

POE October 22nd 2016

Can some plz explain why hasn't the Cairo embassy have any scheduled interviews for April??

I'm sure they have. Everybody isn't here on Visa Journey. And not everybody fills out a timeline or post.

I have people everyday fill out the form for the spreadsheet put any old name down. My rule your VJ name must be found on VJ. I had two for Egypt just this week with CC's so they don't get added. They will either give me a correct name or never be added.

Have you called NVC to ask them has scheduling started for Egypt Are they filled up for April. Maybe even get out of them what CC they stopped on. I asked that last month when they were doing March where dd they stop for Nigeria and the sweet lady told me looks like 2/5. I was 2/9.

probably backlogged from refugees like other embassies helping out.

do you all recommend me to call every day to see if I get my interview scheduled??

Why not what ever gives you peace of mind. I called NVC from start to finish no less than twice daily. Why wouldn't you call if you have a need to know.

Be sure to ask the right questions. Of course they ask how can I help you

  1. Have I been scheduled an interview yet?
  2. Has my embassy XXXX started scheduling for April yet?
  3. Has my embassy XXXXX filled up all slots for April and are done scheduling for April?

You can ask them if they started scheduling for the country?? I tried to ask them a couple days ago, they said they wouldn't know....

The Embassy finally gave us our new interview date! Wednesday, March 16th it is! :dancing:! Today is me and my hubby's birthday so that was a nice surprise!!

Im really excited but a little worried at the same time ... One of the requirements for the interview on the email we just received today was the petitioners original Birth Certificate .. I really thought they will not need it but now hubby needs to send me that .. *sigh* Can anyone please tell me what is the fastest international airmail delivery service???
