I am always being denied visa because I had my baby in the US. My labor was induced . I was scheduled to return home but was told I was in no condition to fly and was placed on bedrest until confinement. What are the chances for me ,my husband and daughter? And why doesn't the embassy come straight out and say the reason instead of giving another reason for the denial.

It's not like I went to the clinic to register. My feet were so swollen after the long flight that Friday, so I thought that the swelling will go down overnight, but by Monday they were still the same, hence the reason I went to the hospital, I was admitted for 7days , I was scheduled to return home at the ending of June having only gone for 1 month, I was given a medical letter to send home to say that I was on bedrest until confinement which was the ending August early September. However Labour was induced in July, I had a premature but healthy baby girl.

Did you pay the hospital bills?

What visa were you in the US on when you had your baby?

What visa are you going for now?

It was a non-immigrant visitors visa. While I was in the hospital a Medicare agent came to my bedside and offered me the service. I didn't pay the bill nor did I received one, don't know if it was posted to the previous address because I moved from where I was. The CO keep asking about who paid the bill, yet he is saying that we do not have enough money to make the trip, but he didn't even bother to view my supporting documents, so why come to a decision like that. I know it's the US born baby thing is the issue at hand.

Contact the hospital and ask for a bill, make solid payment arrangements and ask for proof. It may not help but yoir showing your proof to pay it back. May not overcome an inadmissibity seeing as you've proven yourself a public charge.

Yes I am trying to do so. But someone told me that paying the bill after the fact wouldn't get me a Visa and that I would be wasting my money to even try to obtain a Visa again. I would love to take my daughter for a visit to the US, we came back to our homeland when she was less than 2 months. All in all, I thought children and their well-being were America's #1 priority. I have a home a mortgage, a working husband am a government employee, I do NOT want to overstay or live in the USA, is to vacation. Even though I will may never be able to obtain a Visa, I am still go to pay the bill.

Well I guess it's indeed a waste of money to apply. There should be a way around this especially since labour was induced and it wasn't a full term pregnancy, she was a premature baby. I could have gone back home before all that, they kept me there.

when you call the billing office at the hospital, and inquire about your financial account there, what do they tell you ?

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Still waiting a response? Did you call? Did you use Google to look up the hospital and find their 'accounts' section? This should be relatively easy.

FYI just because you had a child in the US does not entitle you continuous travel there. The life you explained in an earlier post seems to be providing your daughter a healthy lifestyle in your home country.

Good luck

I know the hospital and have made the necessary contacts. I never said I would want to make continuous visits, a vacation away from the Caribbean is called for at times, just like how a vacation away from the cold to the Caribbean is needed at times too. I may want to visit my sister in the US virgin islands who is a US citizen. Am not asking for green card or permanent card , just a visitors visa but I guess that will never happen. So am I going to reapply for Vida again-I don't think so.

there are literally thousands of places to vacation in this world. You would have to pay your debt to the US gov back(medicaid) before even being considered, and even when you do that your chances are slim. Give up and vacation somewhere else, not sure why you are so intent on vacationing here. Just because your baby was born here gives you no right to come back. Google anchor baby
