Hello all! Will my husband need a biometric passport or will the one he has be fine?

Whats a bio-metric passport? Ghana does bio-metrics at the interview. Mexico and India are the only two countries with separate facilities for bio-metrics that they need appointments for The rest of us at interview.

Even if your embassy does DCF. You only qualify if the petitioner is a resident of that country and has consistently lived there for the last 6 months(The usual requirement for most countries). It's all about the Petitioner for DCF.

I see, that does make sense. I didn't qualify for consular filing, because I go and come back between the US and Jordan, so i had to file through the Chicago lockbox. No problem, hopefully the interview will be early April!!

No date yet. The March scheduling for Lagos stopped at 2/5. I am 2/9. Ughhhhh. Hoping they start up this coming thursday and friday. And praying for early early April. April 1st Friday would be awesome.

Also any petitioners who have divorce decree. Make sure your spouse has a certified copy at interview . Many 221g's handed out lately about that.

My hubby will have the Original that was handed to me straight from the court house and a photo copy. I knew I kept it for almost 10 years for a reason haha

Wonder if he means a "machine-readable passport" - you know with the encoded gobbledee-###### across the bottom of the Bio page so that it can be read by sliding it through their machine.....

Here is a US Biometric passport, the chip has biographic information, picture, etc.

Dwheels! So I have landed in the us safe and sound. I though have a question. Will uscis have the address I mentioned in the day 260 form to send the ssn and green card to? I am asking this because while we were dealing with uscis during the petition stage we had a different address. Our address changed from the NVC stage and we filled in the new address in the ds 260. I am just writing in to confirm that there won't be any confusion with the address as we are dealing with uscis now. Do we have to inform uscis of the address or will they have the update?
