Canada needs to ditch the queen. It's long past the point of embarrassing that she even has any power, even if very light and substantially just for show. So close to BC I always wind up with Canadian change. I found out half way through the coin op shower at the state park last summer that my special ziploc of change was 90 % Canadian. That was a cold soapy toweling off

Canadian and Ecuadorian quarters used to work in various U.S. vending machines, but now they might work only in older newspaper machines (a matter for empirical investigation). The sensors in the newer machines must be awesome.

Count my as an empirical datapoint of one...Washington State coin-ops are hep to the difference..I have an equadorian quarter..maybe I will try that
